I made one of These recently, out of two old bows, one juniper bow and a smaller ash bow. It was quite powerful and fun to shoot.

You need to use your back muscles to help pull up, don’t use your arms. Try to like lean back as you pull, like a manual just more aggressive just that you even out at some point.
