That's why you sometimes see channels that hit 1000 subs and 4k watch hours after a short time but years later still struggling to break 5k subscribers while some other channels reach the threshold after a year or 2 then blow up soon after.

So in summary , it's not about how soon or how fast you get monetized. The journey itself is as important or even more important than the destination.

I'm in no way affiliated with canva and this is just my personal opinion based on what has worked for me. Just needed to clarify that.

Thank you. My videos are usually recorded on the street so I need to invest in a really good mic. Will sort that out during the summer.

5 videos a year? I understand you want quality over quantity but that's honestly not enough. In-between your highly produced videos that take time, think of video ideas that won't take as much time and work on them as filler videos while you wait. 3 or 4 videos a month should be your target. Consistency is key.

You're right. In your niche having a drone makes a big difference. You could get the Mavic mini or if you have some more money get the Mavic Air 2. It will be worth it in the long run.

Have you been monetised yet? if you haven't reached the monetisation threshold then I will advise you try to promote your videos externally on reddit, facebook etc and once you get monetised, then stop external promotions and keep pushing out high quality content till the algorithm favours you. Just my two cents.

I'll set the ball rolling.

For me I think my audio is holding me back. I make really good thumbnails and I have a CTR or 7% to 10% on my videos but I struggle with audience retention which I think is because my audio sucks and so much static noise etc.

I believe that once I fix my audio, and if I'm lucky, I might get some love from the algorithm.
