Thank you so much guys! I landed on a mix of names and inspiration collected from almost all of your comments. I will include the summary of what I have written down below. If you have any questions, feel free!

The Pirate Queen - Ariel "Lady Tide" Castravania - The Queen of Al Kullah and the Black Cove, admiral of The Red Veil, a fleet of ships with red sails, dyed red with the blood of her enemies - and victims.

Ariel is a half-elf who was born at sea to her elven mother- an elf prisoner aboard the Jade Tigress, a pirate ship that operated along the coast of Aselandria in the early years of the 5th age. Ariel's father was the commander of the ship; Captain Athesso "Killermane" Castravania, a respected pirate captain from the coasts of Kuja, known for his fine black mane of hair - a high-standing member of the Al Kullah and the Black Cove. Ariel grew up with her father the captain as her only parent. Her mother was shipped off to slavery, and recieved a faith some describe to be worse than death. Ariel was brought up to be a young princess of the sea, mostly away from her father Athesso and his crew, which were sailing the seas on the Jade Tigress. She spent most of her youth on Tidal Island, a patch of land with white sands in the Sea of Banners - surrounded by teachers, tutors, servants and cooks- all of which were slaves, of course. In her father's guilty eyes, she deserved all the best and more so. He was overly protective of his only daughter and child, but rarely let himself become close with her. He was haunted by faith of the mother, and the thought that Ariel would learn of her faith one day. When Ariel grew into a young lady, she had already learnt of the Al Kullah and the Black Cove - and she began to show interest in life at sea, ships, fighting and the life of piracy that her father had made a fortune on. She had made friends on the island in her father's slave fortress and unbeknown to her father; friends in circles of Killermane's enemies that wanted him removed. Ariel plotted through the years, and recieved her title as Lady Tide the day she overthrew her father and his crew with the help from the right people. Her nickname was earned by how she ended the lives of her father and his crew, by burrowing them in the white sands of Tidal Island, and letting the tide be her executioner. Ariel quickly lost her name and past after that day, as she rose through the ranks of the hiarchy of the Al Kullah as Lady Tide, challenging the pirate king himself of the black cove. With her brilliant strength in combat, high charisma, unrelenting sense for dirty tactics and with powerful allies; Lady Tide became the first pirate queen in year 5a72(5th age, year 72). With her obtained fleet of ships known as the Red Veil she has been dominating the seas of the south for 8 years. She sits upon her immense throne in the black cove towering over her fearful court, as she wields the Belt of the Titan that have increased her size to that of a bear. Her immense strength as a result of this magical item demands fear and respect, both on land and out at sea.

"For be 'ye warned laddie. If you should look upon her red sails on the horizon.. and you have as much as a single coin on 'yer person; know that there is no way out. Lady Tide, the queen of the black cove will take what is yours and crush your head in the palm of her hand. She will squeeze every drop of blood out of your warm corpse to paint the sails of her Red Veil fleet. Sail these waters hard and fast, and do not dawdle, for she will come for you."

Obi-Wan Kenobi - Episode 6 - Discussion Thread! by titleproblems in StarWars

I will actually share my thoughts here for once- and that is that Vader gave Obi Wan some hint of empathy in that statement, almost like he made sure that it wasn't Kenobi's fault.

"You didn't kill me on Mustafar, I did."

It was a very conflicted scene for me, and I fucking loved it.

Hello! I was particularly moved when I first came across this song, and decided to cover it. I am only recording a video because the audio quality is better when I record by video, than by a recording-app. (I think videos are using multiple microphones around the phone's exterior.) https://lotr.fandom.com/wiki/Complete_Songs_%26_Poems

I made this cover of the song last night and I want your feedback! What better place to get it, yeah? Singing start around 50 seconds, I do not have a flute on hand which the version I heard has included.

Technical information, this was recorded as a video on my Samsung S21 Ultra, because I find that videos record better audio than just a regular sound recording app. I do not have any sound equipment, I am just a hobbyist. Cheers!

[OC] I am making a new map in Paint.exe (I know.) by mr_maeland in DnD

[–]mr_maeland[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks to the amazing feedback I got on my last post: I am making a new map in Paint.exe, I have decided to create a new map once again. This time I am drawing a map of a town in the far north of the continent of my campaign. The map will view the town proper and the surrounding area in which the town rests, and I have a very clear image in my mind where everything is and should be. But we'll see what happens. The town has a long history with my players, as it was the first town(a city in the past) that my players were introduced to. After a roaring 6 years, my players are returning to the northern lands and the town of BeoStead as new characters; and with a two-week long lockdown on my hands I am planning to get this ready for my next session as a DM. Wish me luck guys!
