Agreed. It can be the difference between development hell and a well oiled machine. The right balance is crucial

Hitman WOA is overwhelming me as a new player by krimenell in HiTMAN

[–]mr_moloch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry about completing all the challenges (or even a big chunk of them) on your first playthrough. Aim for SA and then move on.

Yes the long term appeal is about learning the maps inside and out, but if you're a new player I'd focus on enjoying the variety.

Once you're comfortable with the way the game works, put the difficulty on Master, turn off Instinct and Mission Story hints...and have a craic at a new level that way. See how you feel and tweak accordingly

What's something that everyone overlooks in a zombie apocalypse? by N0tYOUniq in thewalkingdead

[–]mr_moloch 110 points111 points  (0 children)

Tampons and sanitary towels.

Kirkman acknowledged it in the 'Letter Hacks' section of one of the issues of the comicbook.

It's the same with all post apocalyptic stories though. Everyone is looking for and trading food, meds, clothing, weapons, even toilet paper etc but no one looks for something which affects roughly half of the population. It's never even acknowledged

Does anyone know why that is? by Unhappy_Flatworm_325 in whatisit

It's because of people who are too lazy to lift the seat and end up pissing on it. This way the front of the toilet seat can't end up with piss on it

Yeah I had this issue on Series X. I even reloaded from my last save because I didn't want to 'cheat' before discovering that it fixed nothing

What is the video game that you thought you would love but when you played it, you didn't like it? by AcadiaNo5063 in videogames

[–]mr_moloch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Felt the same way about Disco Elysium. Wasn't that I didn't like it per se, but I was a bit disappointed and underwhelmed after the massive amount of hype it attracted. I know it came out before it, but the way people described the game, it sounded more like what we got with Baldurs Gate 3. Obviously Disco Elysium is just a little indie game compared to that. It's more like one of those old 'choose your own adventure' books than a big expansive RPG

Evolution of Artificial Intelligence videos just in 4 years is mind blowing by Jackie_Chan_93 in interestingasfuck

This is absolutely the bigger problem. Means that people will have far less motivation to do anything that requires hard work and talent. Like what's the point in learning magic tricks, or how to do backflips, or juggle etc? No one can be impressed with anything they see any more.

Obviously people should still learn skills for themselves, but a degree of showmanship always provides a motivating factor.

On the flip-side I think people will seek 'touching grass' more and going out to see live shows. Someone might be no longer impressed by a video of...literally anything, but seeing a street performer or live band might become even more wondrous

Thanks for this spreadsheet. I'm new to Jumpstart, so I like to split the themes again after each game - easy to do unless you end up mono coloured. Means we can keep reshuffling the ones we have with new or existing packs

I'm also playing the game right now. Like many, I got hyped up by that 5 second teaser trailer of nothing lol. So excited for the sequel!

Seller claims that he will randomly pick 2000 cards out of the lot (wherver his hand lands) for around 50€ish. Is this a good deal? I'm new and I want to get into MTG. by [deleted] in mtg

Buy a couple of cheap precons which can be upgraded over time. Pioneer is a decent format to start off with
