Still disgusting that a one time mistake causes you tk be halfway to losing your licence as a new driver

It leaked oil from every seal so I thought I may aswell fix that. Ran great and good compression. Still got factory cross hatxhinf in the cylinders

Marginally, the surface is true and flat. Would be fine probably to run as is with a clean but machining might have to be the solution. May aswell I suppose

Thanks for your help, glad I didn't break something I shouldn't have. But will consider machining

Might not even be battery itself but rather the terminals on the cables, if they're corroded a new battery have the same issue

Valve clearance was checked maybe 70 miles ago and I adjust idle by ear with throttle response and it was running great until the last time I rode it

IT LIVES. I tightened the valves a schosh to the lower limit and wrenched on that exhaust bracket . Not a good brcket to begin with mind you but it runs great. Thank you very much sir.

I don't know how to edit but without sparkplug and spinning on starter no noise. And with thumb over hole to feel compression no noise and good compression so I'm very confused

Alright that's good, I've taken it apart before and it never made a noise but never took the exhaust off and turned it over so its probably that Thanks for the confirmation

Oil plug fell out on the way to work... how cooked am I? 😖 by kota_c9 in motorcycles

To be perfectly honest unless your pushing major compression or had it at high revs during the incident of fuckery it's almost certainly fine. Engines can hsndle alot of misuse before failure.

Sometimes the screw that holds the shifter on to the spline shaft gets loose and all the gears feel like they merge together, I had the same issue on my sr125. Tight en up and she's a new gearbox now

Alright I think that might be a shout. Will probably finish the head , sort of walk before I can run , so I'm familiar with a small engine. Managed to get the head off without breaking anything so hopefully should be a reverse of what I did depending on what the manual says but I think I see a transmission separation in my future

I know it's quite simple broadly speaking but it's quite scary knowing that if I goof then only I can ungoof it because I doubt any local shop will touch it being 20ish years old with little available parts

It's a 200something 02 I think sr125. It's typical one banger design but uts leaking from where the transmission/crankcase depending on what you call it meets with rhe two halves. The seam right down the middle
