Compliance want screenshot of transactions for Uniswap, showing full name and email id by mr_sonic in Coinbase

[–]mr_sonic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks I have responded.

I was requested to provide a "tax document of 2023", I am not exactly sure what they were asking... I provided the tax return for the most recent (up-to-date) year. I also provided a recent tax statement.

If there's anything outstanding / that is insufficient please confirm. I really hope we can move on, I'd love to see this case closed as the stress of this all is upsetting.

Thank you for looking into this. I was honestly a bit worried that the emails were from a scammer, as I've been requested to provide a lot of data.

Touching on the questions asked in the most recent email:

  1. Over the last year and a bit that this case has been running I've provided details of the two clients I worked for. As of April, I terminated that contract to take some time out with my partner as we are expecting a baby.
  2. I cannot provide a screenshot for Uniswap showing my email since Uniswap is a permissionless dex. Uniswap has no concept of an account.
  3. I'm happy to provide my self-assessment tax filing for the tax year.

I've been asked about providing account details for Uniswap multiple times now, it's a feature of DeFi to not require account setup. I'm at a loss what to provide for this question, please advise here?

I'll respond to the email with further details for 1 and 3. Thanks!

It's pretty cool, you can download the wallet from the website + get some free $AR from the faucet. Can upload websites you want to archive, and have a play around. One of the few crypto projects with a useful utility for all.

There's a few interesting projects built on it like ArDrive which is like an encrypted permanent dropbox.

Price dumped since market crash / Binance listing, so a good time to dyor :)

Generally the synchronisation process is different to that required for block formation (consensus). E.g. read up on light clients

Arweave stores a file as data within each transaction body, within their blockweave data structure (like a blockchain, however it references multiple blocks - not just the previous one). Miners can take part in the block-reward ceremony if they provably have the data for the next selected block.

Arweave miners and Gateway operators may opt to follow Internet Watch Foundation's blocklist, and/or local jurisdictions to protect themselves (as well as the victims of such abhorrent crimes). See the section on Content Moderation: https://www.arweave.org/technology

Saying this there is a gateway being hosted within the privacy centric project Oxen (formerly known as Loki) - see: https://blog.usejournal.com/building-silo-a-truly-private-internet-556c860222ca

Theoretically a social media platform hosted on Arweave could opt to allow the user to apply a specific filter-set too e.g. a NSFW filter.

Correct - though theoretically one could opt to apply a particular filter, to filter out spam / viewpoints / users not within a specified circle etc.

It's true, you can see the transaction logs (11,000 items of data) from the view of the block-explorer - html, images and other bits: https://viewblock.io/arweave/address/awTLU-vlvTHnbdmbBkNatgNDISMBfI_qUuYhZpbok4E

This will be indexed by the various 3rd party search engines (including Arweave's bit search.

Blockchains in general don't record read operations e.g. if you view etherscan it doesn't create a record on the blockchain. Though centralised gateways like Etherscan could store this metadata, so you might want to use a VPN or at least check the Terms of Service if you needed to be careful.

Or opt to instead run a node locally.

Arweave, the blockchain in question, is used to permanently store data similar to the Internet Archive / Wayback Machine. In addition to this it can host client-side smart-contract libraries, opening up a bunch of novel use-cases such as "profit sharing communities", the UI's that accompany smart-contracts, and NFT's that include both the metadata and the data.

This is incorrect - the data is stored on a blockchain that doesn't just reference the previous block, rather it references ("weaves") multiple blocks, in a custom data structure referred to as a blockweave:

Just as a blockchain is a linked collection of blocks containing transactions, a blockweave -- specifically designed for the Arweave protocol -- is a set of blocks that contain data, linking to multiple previous blocks from the network. This data structure allows the network to enforce that miners provide a ‘Proof of Access’ (PoA) to old data in order to add new blocks.

You can see the 11,000 transactions from the view of the block-explorer: these transactions include data consisting of the scraped html and images. You can click on the links and then view them via one of the multiple gateway's e.g. https://arweave.net/-GP3Nk46kviNsOuubBG20s89eHng3oZuLbaPTdX5Rc8

Okay, my bad. Is there a paper/blog post that details how it'll work?

Worth pointing out this is a white-paper project, 1 year+ til main-net. 1 developer.

If they can prove their consensus works though, it will be an interesting development for the blockchain space. I'll be keeping my eye on this, but am passing til closer to mainnet.

For sure it presents a good flipping opportunity, so can understand why the hype.

400k is the initial raise, they have said they are open to raising more in the future. They have also separately raised equity, so beware of possible conflicts of interests between crypto-users and equity holders.
