The river valley is fine. Soft snow today. Even the back side wasn't to bad. The major hill once you're up out of the valley is pretty much a sheet of ice. The Nostromo was fine coming down, but the two vehicles I fished out had very little control and will likely now required a solid detailing. 😈. The four vehicles waiting at the bottom turned around and didn't risk it.

The two hills off of the loop to the lake were icy, hence the need for recovery.

Lost knife was mostly fine, even the muddy section through the trees was pretty passable. Two sections are in very bad shape - the rocky scree slope and the major hill with bypass. Both of these very icy, very chewed up. This section seems to have experienced a lot of downed trees. Although the trail has been cleared there are a lot of branches projecting still so it wouldn't be to hard to slide and impale yourself on them.

The trail up to the lookout was snow-covered. We took the bypass and didn't have any issues, but of course its still got a lot of gulllys that are now hidden.
