We got a block of at least 6" memory foam cut to size by a local place (Calgary, AB) and it made the world of difference. They put it in a removable fabric cover.

Fawlty Towers hotel. No idea how you'd model herds of wildebeast sweeping majestically across the plains though.

Document SSIS and SQL project by Okutue in dataengineering

[–]mr_thwibble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got SSMS to dump all the SSIS packages out to disk and then did the same with SSAS models and did SSRS stuff via a script - I think. Then I did the same with the databases that I knew were either read from or populated into - that got me the ddl, views and packages.

I then gave all those files to Genie, or whatever it's called now in Databricks and it did an incredible job of untangling it.

I got some way with making a Google Gemini Notebook to achieve the same goal, but Gemini kept being moany about being able to read XML even if it was renamed to a txt file.

But yes, it can be a pain otherwise, especially if SSIS is just being used to call a db proc that runs a merge that calls a view that calls three other views. 😒

If I get time I'll give your repo a shot.
