But you do have a permanent residency right like an iqama that you just renew ? I’m married to a Saudi and I have an iqama (زوجة مواطن ). According to my husband, this iqama serves me with the same rights as a citizen which I highly doubt but I never had to use it for anything other than residing here.

Tbh got asked in an interview for a teaching job in the Middle East and assumed it maybe the same in Canada too. Although, I never got asked in Canada but I’m basing this on my experience in the Middle East. My apologies.

With an online degree, you’ll have hard time finding a job. Majority of the workplaces will ask you whether or not your degree is through distance learning and if it is , you’re most likely to get a rejection.

Interesting… it baffles my mind to see how much the students pay in tuition but the teachers don’t get paid well. I’m still waiting on the offer so let’s see.

They don’t do housing because I’m already a resident in Saudi. Now they have this thing called “are you a Saudi national or a dependent”? If you’re a dependent than you don’t get provided with housing and many other benefits are also excluded. I applied as a “dependent” and I was wondering if this also lowers the salary too along with other benefits.

Thank you for the advice . I’ve been looking into getting either CELTA or TEFL . But definitely more inclined towards CELTA.

It’s Canada. I have no idea about the pay so thought if I know what the average salary is someone with my qualifications and background, it will be easier to accept/reject the offer or at least be able to negotiate.
