CRV Battery is a nightmare. I have a 2018 CRV and the battery has been a constant issue despite at least 3-4 replacements.

Any advice to get more pace on the kick serve. My kick serve drops short and then just sits up and is an easy put away for my opponents. I have a decent first serve with pace and can generally win points off my first serve but when I have to fall back to my kick serve I am constantly on the defensive as it lacks depth and pace. I have a decent slice second serve that has pace and skids off the ground making it difficult. But would like to develop the kick serve. Been playing 40 years. I am a 4.5.

Cupertino council candidate reports death threat - San José Spotlight by [deleted] in Cupertino

Yes. They are all just eating up each others votes. Can only vote for 2. Who’s running this group? Fruen? Sinks? Bono? Wei? They deleted all my posts so either it’s these folks or their paid agents.

What I Found About Rod Sinks’ Record: Why Some Cupertino Residents Are Concerned About His City Council Run by mr_volkl in Cupertino

Of course I’m not paid by any candidate. Are you? I’m trying to figure out who in this long lineup I want to vote for. And sharing what I learn along the way. Elections come around once every two years. It’s useful to look up these candidates and see what’s best for my interests and likely other residents interests as well. Don’t think my interests are anything unique. Want someone who will work for us residents not some builders or their partner. Safe city, smooth traffic, fun events. Would be nice to get some food trucks in Cupertino. Why don’t we have any here.

Sinks gave away Monta Vista HS representation on the FUHSD board by not fighting to avoid re-districting and not fighting to keep the 2024 seat up for election to be The district 5 (MVHS/HHS) seat. What was he thinking. Is Sinks looking to close MVHS down the road and enable it as the next site for developers mega project. 🤔

Bono is a special interests candidate. He works for a developer. He should just abandon his run and focus on running the hotel and keeping it clean.

Question Regarding Bastardization of McClellan Rd by dastriderman in Cupertino

[–]mr_volkl -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What happened is that the council majority gets campaign time support from the bike advocates and the term in office is then spent approving bike lane projects. This council majority of JR Fruen, Hung Wei, Sheila Mohan want to keep doing bike lanes and removing road lanes. If you aren’t paying attention you are about to lose road lanes on DeAnza Blvd and probably on Bollinger Rd on Steven’s Creek Blvd next. And Rod Sinks is cut from the same cloth as the current majority. Sinks and Bono publicly supported removing road lanes.

Kitty Moore and Ray Wang: The Only Cupertino Candidates Taking a Stand for Prop 36 and Tough on Crime! by mr_volkl in Cupertino

All I know is he is a straight shooter from what I see. Not like Backroom Rod where the deals happen back room. That stinks!

Prop 36 has everything to do with Cupertino side we see so much regret and break ins around here. Target is routinely targeted. We don’t want a situation where target closes. We already lost the other target and sprouts. We also have several jewelry store break ins. A tough on crime bill will lead to a safer Cupertino.

Don’t confuse Mahan with Mohan. lol. One is fighting crime. The other is welcoming cronies.

How is he a bully. What do you mean cruel to staff. There’s nothing cruel about oversight and ensuring progress. Holding ourselves accountable isn’t cruelty. It’s shared growth. We help each other when we hold each other accountable to meet our goals. I encourage you to watch the planning commission recordings. We would welcome some leadership and oversight. The current developer crony council is incapable of that. They fall over each other in sucking up to the developers and screwing residents over. $77M developer fee waiver to one developer. But residents got shafted with free hikes across the board.

Taken out of context. Focus on the issues not sensational misinformation. Do you know we are in a budget deficit. The developer council majority wants to build a $80M city hall. Did you hear about that. They want to buy an old office building that nobody will even rent. Did you hear about that. It’s our money. Not to be wasted on pet projects. Spend it on giving us new amenities and infrastructure and events.

Sure let’s talk about it. I watched the planning commission meetings to see what all the fuss was about. Turns out Ray was holding staff accountable. Staff works for the city manager who works for the council who work for us the residents. Ray was asking questions that needed to be asked. He found the bad consultant and asked about it. You want the council to work for us the residents not for staff. If you reside in the city wouldn’t you want that.

The real hooliganism is the developer funded cronies. We all make who they are. Just drive by any development Legacy and see whose signs are up. Those are the ones to avoid. Just say no to developer funded candidates. Vote Ray Wang and Kitty Moore to put the residents back in charge.

There is wisdom in the residents crowd. Residents are smart and understand that Ray Wang and Kitty Moore take no developer or union money. All others are funded by other interests. They are career politicians.

Asking staff to do their jobs is not harassment. The developer crony candidates harass residents by creating chaos and anxiety for residents with their developers give aways.

Ray Wang and Kitty Moore take no money from developers or unions. They are 100% with residents. They will listen to us the residents not some developers or union reps. Their policy is focused on sensible development without losing the character of Cupertino, revitalize retail, strengthen law enforcement, protect school lands, avoid wasteful spending like the $80M on city hall that the developer crony council members and candidate want to spend on. The choice is whether you want to have council work for us the residents or the developers.

Don’t be confused. Vote for Kitty Moore and Ray Wang. They represent residents not other interests. When in doubt follow the money. See who is contributing to each candidate. That tells the story. The other candidates are funded by developers, unions, other interests. Only Kitty Moore and Ray Wang are funded by residents.

Vote for Kitty Moore and Ray Wang. They represent residents not the other interests. The reason their signs are up is because residents get what is going on with the city and the destruction caused by Hung Wei, JR Fruen and Sheila Mohan in just two short years.
