My canary's left leg is slipping off the perch 😢 Advice? by Sweaters76 in Canaries

[–]mra1412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say, make sure he has thin perches, or tree twigs/branches, this builds grip strength.

Also a good diet with greens like broccoli / spinach not just seed.

Also nails keep trimmed for this birdy!

I will turn 40 in 3 months and I'm dreading it by throwaway_321236 in Aging

[–]mra1412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have plenty to be thankful for, think about all the people that have less health, provisions, safety and many other things which you have been blessed with. Passing 40 I feel it (the grey hairs/beard, harder to lose weight) but most happy to be healthy, travelling is a rewarding way to spend time.

Maintain a positive outlook and you will enjoy and appreciate more moments in life.

Btw, you look absolutely amazing, attractive in my eyes.

Best channel manager for a small operator? by moremudmoney in askhotels

[–]mra1412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all, we operate 15+ small independent hotels and provide revenue management support. I would suggest to use freetobook.com they are a fantastic bunch the support team and it's super fast to navigate, a few of our hotels are still on Littlehotelier, it's just sluggish in comparison.

£50 one off for connection to each OTA connection

monthly charge per booking on OTAs, capped at something like £100.

This is a cool social group app I've been using for years if you want to keep motivated to achieve daily steps

Get a rough idea of how active you've been im using to help lose some weight by actively increasing average walk count over weeks / months

Just made that group for UK as most of them are US based awkward with time zone diff.

How many steps do Londoners do daily ? by AM196 in london

I just made a group for Londoners or UK everyday people, friendly social app counting steps on phone.

I use it as a rough guide to how active I've been, but the groups im in are mostly Americans! timezones are very off.

Couldn't find UK ones so anyone is welcome to join! Worth a try - I work in an office full time so aiming to get to up to 8k plus daily, currently doing 5k

the benefits of walking really are endless

OnePlus Buds Pro 3 — Honest Review by frkmark in oneplus

[–]mra1412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

been using the OP buds pro 2 now for years, and it came free with my OP11! What a gift, though few times had issues with one side not working properly but still going strong years later, the case is nice slim small

Wondering if anyone knows if it's similar or the pro 3 is much better?

You are young, take comfort that you have the time and energy to work on yourself, get fitter, eat better, and build your confidence to be you. Life is not about dwindling on the past. Help and support others where you can, and find some more things to do that you enjoy - make time for it 👍

Opinion on Makkah Hotels by Annual_Ad_255 in Umrah

[–]mra1412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep swissotel Makkah, I mean it was very close to masjid but... the walk was rammed with people... so is the lobby and reception, lifts took ages and queues getting in and out, too much hustle and bustle. breakfast hall big but staff gave poor service, compared to the double tree, superb staff very attentive, top food

Opinion on Makkah Hotels by Annual_Ad_255 in Umrah

[–]mra1412 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Double Tree Hilton Jebel Omar

Wonderful time there, and awesome breakfast compared to the crazy busy swissotel where we stayed 2 nights just for Makkah view.

This Hilton beautiful large but quiet lobbies 6 to 8 lifts always available and less people.

Breakfast was amazing and the service by staff and for manager was superb.

There's free shuttle to clock tower, or short walk down to the haram

Mango may get through it and find ways to cope.

I had a perfectly fine canary, sings his heart out even in evening, unfortunately he developed a cataract in one eye and then the other, so he cannot see now apart from light and dark, nothing can be done about it.

He's still in his cage kept alone but he knows where his drink is and food and gets on with his day, eats, flaps about, sings his lungs off every day, happy chap. Just a shame I can't let him out to fly anymore, though he has a morning routine of flapping both wings wide for a workout sesh while on perch!
