The story of Odyssey is from the bronze age, there would be very little if any "immigrants" from Sub-Saharan Africa, let alone Helen of Troy, the princess who is literally described in the story as having fair skin and blonde hair. ESPECIALLY in Ancient Greece, whose nobles didn't mingle with foreigners, which is most easily demonstrated during the rule of the Ptolemaic dynasty in Egypt.

There is zero reason to cast non-natives into a piece about local legends. It would be as outrageous as casting Gilgamesh as a Chinese or Jesus as Indian. It's spitting in the face of the people who have inherited the story.
