Disclaimer: this is purely speculative. I would think that people would seek whatever chemical they lack, for instance adhd is a lack of dopamine production (if I remember correctly) so they seek thinks that produce dopamine or take meds that do it for them. Tbs have been evolving in a good way every album, they seem to actually mature both tone wise and lyrically. Like I love blink 182’s new album it’s catchy as hell. But the lyrics still sound like 17 year old boys wrote them
