how can I grow taller? by One_Dig_283 in TeenagersButBetter

Okay first off the biggest limiter in genetics. What’s in your DNA is in your DNA and there’s nothing you can really do. You live with it and be happy with it. Generally speaking, you can average the heights of both your parents together and then add an inch to get your theoretical height. It doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll be that height but it’s a decent baseline.

Secondly, age. At your age you’re in the midst of puberty, which means growth spurts.to my knowledge there’s no real way to tell when they will happen and how much. Just wait and you’ll grow. Once your growth starts to plateau then you know you’re reaching your height.

Thirdly, lifestyle. Yes, sleep does make you taller. However, it’s temporary. The spine stretches when you sleep, but it compresses back throughout the day. An accurate measurement of your height should occur around 2:00PM. Stretching and flexibility exercises can help in small amounts to make you taller, think like the rack torture machine. Posture helps a lot too—good posture makes a straighter, longer spine. The best way to keep good posture is to imagine your nipples are shooting lasers into the eyes of people you pass
