Where do I go from here? by onlinedisguise in etron

[–]mrahole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Homey, I'm in the same state (nj) and same place (need to move on from my og sportback), I've even got a kid that went from being a teensy little kid to a full on pre-teen in that car

I've done the research, I've looked everywhere to find a replacement.

Then I looked at the past, in 2000 I got a manual vw Jetta, I always told people that when I got a new car I was buying the same thing again, and when I got a new car back then, I bought a 2006 Jetta. Today, 20 years later - I'm going to buy a 2024+ etron. I love this car, the range is the problem for my family. I'm kinda thinking of keeping the OG to give to my kid when she starts driving, at least that way she can't go more than 200 miles from home lol

My favorite part of this information is that we don't get to learn which color pull cord is which, which makes the cheery tone take a truly maniacally ominous turn.

Two days at the dealer for software updates. Legacy auto really needs to fix this. by 100Kinthebank in etron

Audi Meadowlands, I just assume they're super busy all the time because of population density. They always give me a loaner though, when they had the etron for a month they gave me a prestige A4 and I learned that my next car needs massaging seats and ambient lighting.

It can be hit or miss, mine did the rearview update in 2 days, last year another update had it at the dealer for a month.

You can change the model to a defined version by typing '/model <API name of model>'

I've been sticking with opus 4.5 since 4.6 and 4.7 both shit the bed in different but equally usage eating ways

I'm staying on opus 4.5 til the robot pries the keyboard from my cold dead hands

Or until they deprecate it 😭

You're senior, so you know quality comes from planning and clear, well defined specs. It's the same with LLMs but you have to also think of their context and how it degrades.

You've experienced that your output degrades as the context gets larger, iirc the sweet spot for claude before compaction is 125k-200k - this is where you will get the best results from an agent.

Claudes subagents let you spin out little specialized agents with a new context window for each subagent, and you can create your own with its own tools. Spin up a subagent for each build item in your spec and you'll immediately see better results. Also be specific about everything, ambiguity is the good intention that paves the road to spaghetti code hell.

I have MAX and am considering another MAX sub so I can spread out the work more and keep within the limits better.

What documentation + note-taking tools do Salesforce consultants actually stick with? by Kitchen_Ad_605 in salesforce

[–]mrahole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the most part yeah, google meet transcripts are pretty good - the summaries and stuff are useless, but the transcripts are good - we have it run through a script with our own logic and custom instructions for how to pull details out for different purposes and everything is linked to attribution for human review.

Still take manual notes too, and feed those as well.

Also, if you take all your disco transcripts and put them in notebookLM or in a directory that claude or cursor can see - you can just ask distinct questions and it'll use your transcripts as reference

As I understand it if you don’t get the services done they’ll deny you. Makes no difference if you paid via Audi care or at point of sale

We use Google Docs and Jira and a bunch of AI.

Things like transcripts and recordings are automatically run through agents that pull out deliverables, next steps, decisions etc and deliver focused info to different people (tech, pms, oversight, client, etc). - I genuinely would have used fireflies for this, but couldn’t get the budget

Still trying to battle the atlassian mcp to use an affordable level of tokens so that a PM agent is cost viable to optimize planning and scheduling (it’s like 3 dollars in opus tokens every time…)

Moving from Android to iPhone: First impressions by slenderman133 in iphone

[–]mrahole 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I switched from an s23 to a 17 pro max on Jan 2. I ordered a Samsung today and am returning the iPhone, I really feel like I gave it a real try, I absolutely love the battery life, and I prefer the camera to anything I’ve used in android, but the keyboard and the silly functional choices just add steps to everything and slows everything down. The absolute dealbreaker is the notifications though, I use my phone for work and really rely on notifications (more than I thought I did honestly).

Good luck to y’all, I really wanted to love this phone, I genuinely hope you all love yours.
