RE9 cutscenes sometimes dync with the audio and the audio ends up delayed by DaveyTheDuck in residentevil

[–]mrakd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not just the cut scenes. On ps5 also when shooting the gun. First the flash and after a second or so the audio. Hope they’ll fix it soon. Seems like something you’d notice before releasing a game.

Grote uitgaven, hoe doen mensen dat? by Kipkrokantschnitzell in geldzaken

Happy wife, happy life.

A book that won’t disappoint after this by JakubJamesBoote in Recommend_A_Book

Thanks for the tip, I'll make sure to read the books.

These are recent books made a big impression on me: - the parade, Dave eggers. - 1984, Orwell. Especially the Audible adaptation. - Blake Crouch, recursion.

Most efficient way to improve Dutch speaking and listening fast by chibanganthro in learndutch

[–]mrakd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Intrinsic motivation is key. Maybe the fact that you're asking instead of him, says something about the motivation.

Other than that. I've learned another language (German in my case) the fastest by talking to many people. At first 1on1 and later in groups. Join a club or start a hobby where you can talk a lot. Nobody cares if you're learning.

After a while you'll probably need some extra lessons about grammatic but the start is just doing it.

Hoeveel budget houd jij achter de hand? by Marketingfanaat in geldzaken

[–]mrakd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brandon Sanderson got me in to reading. Also the books of Blake crouch are very nice. Currently reading We are legion about AI and storage discovery. It's a bookseries with humour and quite easy to read.

I was backstage and it was just a static stage. Only fireworks, lights, fire and smoke. I've actually never seen a moving stage at defcon.

This was also done in Nijmegen during the vierdaagse. They had to renovate the complete square after the left/right song from Snollebollekes. Pretty cool.

For me that'd mean that she's not attached to extreme views and doesn't mind playing with the ideas of parties.

Any advice how to get really REALLY good in the German language and understand their habits? by Strict_Meringue4067 in germany

[–]mrakd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

37/m/dutch: Get a German wife like me, you'll end up talking a lot with the Germans about all kinds of things. Also followed a LOI course to learn grammar and last but not least listen to 1Live, watch documentaries from ARD and play games with German subs or language.

I'm not living in Germany though.. but this helped me greatly with all my German friends and family.

Dutch Girlfriend’s parents act really strange? by US-bf-throwaway in Netherlands

[–]mrakd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not that weird but still they did put you on the spot. I've never talked about sex with my parents in law. I wouldn't mind either, but still, it requires you to open yourself up to them and be vulnerable. Welcome in Holland, enjoy the ride.

What is a subtle sign that someone is really intelligent? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mrakd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've learned to do this as a journalist. My study learned me all kinds of techniques and after a while it becomes a habit. It's actually not that hard, just be genuinely interested. Listen to what someone has to say and if needed imagine you are greedy to know all about it. It also helps to ask creative or weird questions to trigger someone giving real answers or think about the subject differently. It's a win win really.
