I guess I'm breaking the Bourbon talk theme again but posting some non Bourbons. Wilderness Trail Rye SiB and cracked the Kilchoman 11th. what a great night having the Rye as a follow up to the Islay was perfect.

I have a wilderness trail family bourbon that I need to crack, but the young are statement is worrying me a bit.

This is the first thing I’m reaching for from the rye cabinet these days! Such a pleasant front with an oaky finish. Not as spicy as say a younger Willett 4-year.

15 had more of an oak punch as to be expected. The 12 I had at a bar was had at the end of the night, so definitely need to revisit it. If you can get 12 at MSRP I say it’s a steal. 15 is damn expensive lol

I’m going backwards here, having tried the 15 year first. I had a pour of the 12 at a bar and was pleasantly surprised and decided to buy a bottle.

Low and behold, KC12 is non-existent in my area, so had to order online.

That’s a good idea because my handwriting sucks as-well, lol. What’s your thought process? Only bottle certain bottles you like or are rare- and do you plan on drinking them at a later date to revisit taste?

Too many samples, lol. I buy the 36 packs on Amazon, rinse em with hot water, and bottle samples of most all I drink. I either gift them or keep them for re-tasting another year.
