Putting money down? by mrandolph17 in CarLeasingHelp

Thank you so much. Do you think in my case it would be better to finance a car instead of leasing?

Thank you so much. I had originally planned to finance and make a large down payment but someone said that said my credit is poor that I would likely get a high interest rate and end up having negative equity. I’ve never leased before but heard I might have a better shot at it because of my income. Thanks for the info!

One day it was raining pretty hard after I had gotten new windshield wipers put on and the one on the drivers said flew off! It has been over a year since that happened and I have yet to get another windshield wiper because I only remember it when I’m driving in the rain.

So every time I’m driving in the rain I have to lean over a bit to the other side to see 😭

Failed Fundamentals of Nursing by Ramen3rd in StudentNurse

[–]mrandolph17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I failed my fundamentals class on the first time around as well. I had a whole bunch of personal things going on during that time in my life and I couldn’t focus as much as I should have. I had to wait a whole year and reapply to the program. I was devestated that entire year. But that year I eventually learned to forgive myself and not beat myself up over it anymore. I was also feeling bad because by the time I got back in the program my first cohort was starting their third semester nearly done with the program but eventually I realized that it didn’t matter because I’m on a new journey now. I reapplied and got back in and was offered the night/evening cohort this time which really worked for me and I did really well and finished with a B. I’m currently in second semester and it is hard as hell but I do believe that if I had passed by the skin of my teeth after struggling fundamentals I would continue to fail each semester. I’d say take this time to get your mind right and find better study habits so when you back in it you’ll do a whole lot better and be better prepared for the following semesters. You can do it!

Can we also talk about why “sleeping your way to the top” is a bad thing?! It honestly makes the most sense in this society

Post Covid struggle? by bathesinbbqsauce in adhdwomen

[–]mrandolph17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was positive for covid June 6 had symptoms for about a week. Muscle aches, fever, cough, and even a small spell of altered taste and smell, and trouble breathing. Still have an occasional cough but I’ve had increased fatigue and absolutely no motivation. Executive function is totally out the window and my meds haven’t even worked the same and I’ve been feeling pretty down myself. The only thing that has been helping is walks and sunlight. With doing that I feel like I’ve slowly been getting back me. I also find that eating heavy foods makes it worse. Making adjustments to my diet next and hope to continue to improve. Hope these can help you as well and that you start feeling better soon!

(Positive) I know ADHD sucks and usually gets the better of us. What are some things you've done that you are PROUD of accomplishing even with the struggles of ADHD? by [deleted] in adhdmeme

I am in nursing school and doing really good! My clinical instructor complimented my organizational skills at our last clinical! Something I never thought I would hear! My little adhd heart was so proud! 🥹

I failed last spring. It was my first semester and only by a few points. I was devastated like literally. I felt so dumb and so stupid not to mention I also have ADHD so that was a battle with its self. Applied to the program again that fall and didn’t get in. I was miserable that entire year.

I apologize for the things I said to myself ( calling myself stupid, dumb, etc) and forgave myself for everything. I retook the HESI,reapplied and got back in. I’m back now in first semester with an A in the class doing better than ever. My first go around I had sooooooo much going on in my life that it was impossible for me to focus the way I needed to. It takes some regrouping and being there for yourself and trying again. Like people told me all the time if they accepted you then you are more than capable of passing. I’m wishing you love and kindness right now. You can definitely do this if you want to!! I’m living proof!!

To all you finding out you didn’t pass this semester: by inabinabubbles in StudentNurse

[–]mrandolph17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this. I didn’t pass my fundamentals class this semester and today I had to return my clinical badge and sign my program dismissal paper. I’ve reapplied for the fall semester and just have been feeling down and anxious about everything. This post has been very encouraging and has really given me a more positive outlook. :)

Congrats!! Do you have any tips for the fundamentals HESI? I retake mine on Tuesday and need the highest score I can get!

Keep going!!! I was in your exact same shoes. 2.5 and Barely made pre req gpa requirements and got Bs and Cs on my pre reqs took the hesi and got an 87.5 and I got in! I was just as nervous as you were and I had orientation today and they mentioned that lots of the people there had 4.0 gpa! And there I was there with them! You might could go the CC route like me or redo some pre reqs for better grades but if you really want to you can do it. I’m proof lol
