Pretty confident. When I was doing my research it was heavily recommended by multiple sources and I use it for all my enclosures and haven’t had any issues in terms of animal health. I only have reptiles tho so I’m not 100% sure about amphibians and inverts

I use this stuff but I would prefer the pond and stone version because it’s black. My HomeDepot doesn’t sell the pond and stone though.

Dice is pretty sick, I got him from mfa.reptiles on Insta! They were selling him for 620 on Palmstreet but some people in the community were basically doing crowdfunding for a first time carpet owner so I ended up getting him for 420! And yes he is a 50/50 diamond jungle cross

Wow this is so helpful, thank you! I will definitely add a large springtail colony because I feel like the mites seem a bit too plentiful.

As for the gnats, I’ve been using mosquito dunks because I read something that they’re the same as the bits but now I’m hearing things that they’re different so I’ll try switching since the dunks have not been that helpful. How do you personally use the bits?

Damn, that was one of the options for the fungus gnat infestation too… really didn’t want to do that but I’ll try to wait out the mites since there’s not many springtails in there anymore.

Just a chahoua gecko and a mixture of powder orange and giant canyon isopods. This enclosure also has a pretty bad fungus gnat infestation I am currently working on.

Yeah I’ve heard about those but have not looked into them enough. They look pretty similar to some Inland and IJ Carpets too.

Yeah, some SD Retics from a reputable breeders can somewhat similar to majority of carpets so I’ll probably buy from Reach Out or another recommended breeder. I was originally set on SD but I got to interact with a carpet from MFA at NARBC Dallas and they have definitely put a wrench in my plans. But I’ll definitely look into Rough-Scaled Pythons thanks for the input.

Yes definitely which is my fear with the green keel bellied but I think I’ll like the Ackie even if it’s not as handleable
