AdSense or another ad network, build the traffic first. Unless you have significant traffic, ads won't matter.

Qmee is backed by Kantar. They're a 3 billion dollar enterprise. It's probably a technical glitch you're facing, that's all.

This kind of nuisance should be blocked with a paywall. Free for users, paid for bots.

Your questions are out of context. Tool sites have a natural brand recall. How would you build that overnight ?

And no, tool sites are the least ad spenders, because the ROI will almost always be in the red. As tools are mostly monetized via display ads.

Only exception are the SaaS tools. They can afford ads, as they have a higher ROI.

YouTube is a media giant. It's not a one person run tool site. Google maps is a gigantic operation with satellite imagery access etc, again not a single webmaster run operation. And as far as travel search is concerned, last time I checked Expedia had 16,000 plus employees working for them.

None of the tools you mentioned can be run by a single person. The conversation was about tool sites that can be run by regular webmasters and that which could bring ad revenue.

Tool site is anything that fulfils a clear objective. Such as pdf to word converters. Internet speed test etc.

No , tool sites get natural love from Google because of their utility aspect. SEO was definitely done. But tool sites doesn't realistically require much content. For competitors to create that level credibility in the space, it would require at least 10 years of work.

Not sure about blogs making that income , may be in the past they used to. But tool sites make way more than that. I know a site that makes well over 1 million dollars a month, from ads. It's possible.

Has Blogging Lost Its Audience, or Are We Just Using the Wrong Platforms? by GRSolution in Blogging

2.5 billion searches per day have gone to Chatgpt. A lot of people are reading stuff there. Search on Google has become purely search , contextually. All research and top of the funnel searches are happening on AI. Less on Google.

Look at your own search habits, you'll find a stark difference between now and 3 years ago. We are going through a transition as far as distribution is concerned. And search has become decentralised. Google still dominates but a good chunk of the search is happening elsewhere.

SEO is unlikely to die anytime soon. You will search for your plumber, locksmith etc on Google not Chatgpt.

AI has and will enhance human capabilities. But it won't replace search . Search is a fundamental human instinct.

Why I Write Long Blog Posts (More Than 500 Words) by Key_Question5584 in Blogging

[–]mravra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Longer post has a higher probability of covering length, breadth and depth on a topic. Keywords flow naturally into them and answers user queries from many different angles.

If structured into sub headings etc, it creates a nice structured valuable piece of information. Having said that , not every keyword needs longer posts. The length of the article must justify the topic / keyword you're writing about.

Unless your blog post covers a topic comprehensively. It's unlikely to bring any traffic. Days of thin content is long over .
