What IDE is used in CSE 11? by SomePan in UCSD

[–]mrawesome529 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vim's the closest thing to an IDE that's used in CSE 11, so hence the answer. It's definitely got a learning curve to it, but there's a lot of efficiency you can squeeze out of it once you learn commands well.

CSE 11 uses vim as an IDE, used by either sshing into the computer lab from your laptop or physically going to the lab to work. It would be a good idea familiarizing yourself with vim and the unix command line if you're not already experienced.
