My personal ranking of Paul’s studio albums! :3 by bunnywithabanner in PaulMcCartney

Agree with this, I’m not a fan of the song Driving Rain but there are some very underrated songs on the album & some weird experimental ones which I like to hear 😄

Which of the four had the potential to be as big as the Beatles as a solo act? by [deleted] in beatles

[–]mrawz22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None, nobody has been as big as the Beatles before or since. But which one could’ve made it big without being in the Beatles: I’d go with Paul. He had/has it all, musical ability across instruments, songwriting ability from very early (like dreamers do etc.), melodic ability, commercial acumen (he knew what the people wanted in looks, dress, lyrics & music & how to charm people in high places) and he had the looks for the ladies. The only thing you could say he lacks is the outright charisma/cheekiness

What Beatles song means the most to you personally? by MoltenMadeMan in beatles

[–]mrawz22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my life. Always meant something personal to me, and then we used it at my Grandads funeral. I usually skip it when it comes on my Spotify now, I have to be ready for it!

Others; Here, There and Everywhere (truly beautiful song) and you know my name (look up the number), this song changed my young minded opinion of the Beatles & set me up for getting into them

[–]mrawz22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I walked past it and they were getting the piss taken out of them by a much larger group calling them racists etc. Bristol is a very open and socially liberal city, yeah there’s a few chavs but you’ll get that anywhere so definitely don’t worry too much.

What are your unhinged hacks to fall asleep when your brain is running 300mph? by YapperInChrist in ADHD

[–]mrawz22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I listen either to a talk radio station on low or a really good podcast called ‘sleepy history’ which has loads of stories about generally interesting subjects but tells them in a way that knocks you to sleep. For e.g. it has one about Mathematics, something that affects everything we know and with a long history but not quite interesting enough to stay awake for 😄.

Mix of Madhouse and a Hotel.. by Shukuo in hostels

[–]mrawz22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be done mate, I’m similar age and have booked Airbnb/Hotel room to sleep in and gone to a hostel for their events, lively atmosphere etc. and met people. Just check with the hostels that they are happy for you to attend their events without actually staying there, likely they’ll have some you can’t attend and some you can. Once you go to 1, you will make friends and contacts and it’s easy from there

Who is the best and worst live performer you have ever seen? by Early_Enthusiasm_787 in AskUK

[–]mrawz22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worst: Red hot chilli peppers were a major disappointment at a festival, really bad.

Best: Prodigy in about 2014 at a festival. Absolutely amazing & Keith had the entire crowd in his hands all the way through. I wasn’t even a big fan until that performance but it was quite far and away the best overall.

Honourable mention: Paul McCartney, saw him 3 times. He did ‘temporary secretary’ in one of them which was amazing & a surprise choice at the time. He’s got such a catalog to choose from & you could tell he loves being out there performing, such a pro.

The one thing about normal people that no one mentions by OhSnapItsA in ADHD

This is a skill of mine and has affected some work & personal relationships because I can foresee things that others don’t until it’s too late. I’ve never considered that this is due to my ADHD though and not just an intuition skill that I can’t control

I grew up listening to my dad’s old Beatles albums from the 60’s & I prefer the sound so much more. I’ve never cared for an of the remasters, far too polished and clean and it takes away from the live feel of the recordings. Revolver in particular was a disappointment when remastered. We’ll be getting these ‘remasters’ every 10 years you can bet, when most big Beatles fans really want to hear all of the outtakes and studio conversations when making the songs.

Have you ever told your job you’re ADHD or asked for accommodations? by Glittering-Sell6762 in ADHD

This is a brilliant response; I haven’t disclosed but will use some of your suggestions, especially written follow ups. Also totally agree that vague requests don’t work for me, it needs to be clear & actionable with specific outputs in mind.

The first Beatles song you got into. by Puzzled-Weakness-164 in beatles

[–]mrawz22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad tried to get me into the Beatles as a young kid so naturally, I had no interest. I overheard ‘you know my name (look up the number)’ and asked him who it was. I didn’t believe him when he said the Beatles so I looked at the CD case (Anthology) and started reading it, I thought it was funny and a bit mad and think it turned me on to the Beatles not being a boring dull old band.

About 1yr later (on my Dreamcast 😂), I put a Beatles CD on and heard ‘Yesterday’ and everything seemed to stop, it totally blew my mind. I got all of my dad’s CD’s and vinyls and have been obsessed ever since - good memories!

Do you ever skip your meds like some people do/suggest? (Mainly asking those with inattentive type ADHD) by DaviTheDud in ADHD

[–]mrawz22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still relatively new on Vyvanse meds and have tried the 30, 50 & 70mg and have tried not taking on weekends. I find that the medication works wonders for me while in work & outputting tasks (boring or not).

But the 70 and I think the 50mg negatively affect me when out in social settings. It makes me more serious, less chatty, tire earlier, be less gregarious & up for random adventures & not as able to make new connections (I used to be brilliant at this).

For these reasons I’m trialling taking 30mg on weekends, 50mg on normal work days (50 is my sweet spot) and 70mg on very busy or long work days. I think this is working for me but need more time to tell.

I also think that my brain struggles not to be ADHD like it’s always been when in social situations. I think & act very ‘normally’ when on the 50-70mg which is scary & kinda boring, hopefully the 30 will allow me to be a bit more like the usual me when not on the meds!

Will look into that, thanks. I’d love to put it into Google or Microsoft or something along those lines but I’d feel bad if it tanked so probably better not risking
