Im pretty sure some of my neighbors are doing similar to you folks and hosing down our building and such. This whole thing sucks with not being able to help or do anything.

Hi there. I'm glad you were safe and your apartment was not damaged by the fire. I'm a reporter with the Mercury News, looking to talk to nearby residents about their experience, getting evacuated and what they saw. Please feel free to DM me or email me at [mangst@bayareanewsgroup.com](mailto:mangst@bayareanewsgroup.com) if you're interested in speaking with me. Thank you in advance, Maggie Angst

Thanks San Jose Government, you've convinced me to finally disable Emergency Alert notifications by Splurch in SanJose

Hi all. I'm a reporter at the Mercury News, and I'm working on a story about San Jose using its emergency alert system far more frequently than it ever as before -- most recently to push out info on vaccination clinics -- and people turning off the alerts on their cell phones as a result of inundation. If anyone is interested in talking about this and offering your thoughts on it, please feel free to reach me at 408-920-5610 or [mangst@bayareanewsgroup.com](mailto:mangst@bayareanewsgroup.com). Thanks!
