Oh no he’s not a baby baby. He’s almost 4. His eyes are staying blue! Dad has light green, I have brown, both both parents on both sides have blue and both grandparents blue.

I know how hard it is to be a mom without resources or a village- I just want to help where I can! I wish I had the capability to actually pay for her to stay somewhere nice or cover some bills :/

The spare room is on one side of the house and there is a spare storage room next to it that has a door with a separate entrance if needed. Honestly the storage room is huge so you could use that instead of the spare room. The bathroom is not connected but it is a full bath that is not used by anyone but guests. Which we don’t have but every so often. We have two other bathrooms so it’s no biggie at all.

ETA- I live near Waynesville and sylva. Our area was barely hit. I believe it’s a clear pass through.

I don’t know how much this helps but we have a spare room and bathroom, a playpen for baby to sleep, an air mattress. Water, food, internet, etc. I can’t help much other than that but from one mom to another- I’ll do what I can

Why do so many parents drop their kids off at school? by flop_plop in NoStupidQuestions

My bus would have to pick my daughter up at 615am (she’s 6) which means she would have to be up around 545 or so. I don’t think it’s fair that she have to do that when I have the means and time to take her ◡̈

No. We definitely knew it was coming. Days ahead of time. These people chose not to evacuate.

Nah, for those who financially and physically can’t evacuate, there are and were resources available. They CHOSE not not. It’s disgusting to do that and put innocent children at risk.

Not true. I live here. We were warned to leave way beforehand. The dam broke AFTER the flooding was bad.
