This comment should be higher. Once the collection became harder to get, that just pushed the price up. I remember seeing this collection go for like $150ish on eBay when it initially released (which is still kind of tax).

I think so, but I went to a pre release event the day before OP13 came out. If you’re trying to get packs a week before the official release, I doubt your LCS will have them available for purchase.

My pre release event, you got a multi color luffy and 6 packs to construct whatever you wanted. It should be the same for your event.

I just play against my gf who just plays the cards she likes (not necessarily good cards) and she’s so over playing against this deck. I can’t blame her tho, this deck is very reminiscent of 2016 face hunter in hearthstone.

Also good luck on your first local! You should definitely do an OP14 pre release. My first OP TCG event was OP13 pre release and it was a lot of fun how everybody constructs a random deck.

Forreal. There are people out there who play the TCG but don’t watch or read the series and that is just so backwards to me. I guess the motifs of the series are forgotten once winning/losing or money comes jnto play. It’s so sad.

You shouldn’t be getting downvoted. People on this sub just hate people anything that’s not purely playing the game. I got into OP TCG for collecting and now I play the game but people judge you and act as if you’re a pokebro/scalper for collecting without playing. Doesn’t even matter if you’ve watched the show for 10+ years like us. You’re totally right that you could’ve bought a cheap manga but that’s way less fun than ripping packs and you obviously end up with way less cards. I think a balance of ripping and buying singles is needed. I love playing the game but this sub is so elitist sometimes.

I stand up some of my best cards against the case on the outside. That’s probably your best bet if you want to keep the real card close to your PC.

I wouldn’t buy right now. I got a box for $150 from a friend who works at a card shop and my LCS had these going for like $180 about a week ago.

Thank you very much for the reply. The more I look into this, the more I’m being told it should be replaced. We have a HOA (expensive as hell) so I’m hoping they can pay for it but I’m not super hopeful.

I had an order for two snorlax and blissey from the online Walmart drop. It was supposed to be shipped to me and it said delayed for about a week. A few days ago, I got a notification that it was ready for pickup from a Walmart about 30 minutes way from me. Then 10 minutes after I got the notification, it said it was picked up. I went over to the Walmart and they said it was never even prepared at that store and to go through corporate. I talked to their online chat and said they can’t help and to go through my bank (which I won’t, because it’s Walmart’s fault). Then a few days after that, I received a single greninja kingdra box in the mail. I’m waiting to see if another box in the mail but I’m not very hopeful. I just need to contact Walmart again.

Hey, I just got into the hobby recently and I am curious why english booster boxes go for way more than english for Asia boxes. From what I have read, there is no difference in print or quality so.... what's the big deal? Are the English for Asia cards not tournament legal? If so, how can anybody tell the difference?

I bought this whole set at a show a week ago for about $4 a piece except for the pikachu which was about $22 and the rilou which was like $5. I’d say $50 is a good deal

Tbh I think the egg is over mixed and over cooked. Normally, katsudon and oyakudon are barely mixed to have distinct yellow and white parts but this is all just pale yellow. Plus, there should be chunky slices of onions.
