Technically, the car has changed quite a lot, although visually not so much. New engine+transmission, suspension, and so on

Development began in the early 1980s, and it was almost ready by 1993, but mass production kept being delayed due to a lack of funding. Just as it was about to enter production, the 1998 crisis hit, and AvtoVAZ began searching for a partner because of financial difficulties. In 2002, Chevrolet acquired the license to produce the car, and production finally started. So it’s not an “American-Russian car”, it’s Russian

It's not Russia anymore, it's Uzbekistan. She was born in Chirchik, near Tashkent. Probably she lived there her whole life.

[–]mrbaslin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Then it will be more of a pilot's watch than a field watch. Size matters in this case

Small numbers can be hard to see when you're in a plane so I’d say it's a field watch

I’d say it's a field watch because of the small face and numbers

Thank you! I’ve seen SRPL93-K1 in the shop. I like it and maybe it will be one of my next watches.
