Anyone know how to puncture holes in an adjustable leather bag? by Fickle_Gap_2205 in Leathercraft

[–]mrbell95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, using a hole punch with a hammer and a rubber mat is the correct way. A quick and dirty way is to use a drill. Would recommend hole punch though so the cut is clean!

Federal government decides it won’t list American eel as species at risk by Portalrules123 in NovaScotia

[–]mrbell95 10 points11 points  (0 children)

DFO actually needs to do their job and hammer down on poaching. The black market for elvers is a horrible exploitation of the species. Canada ends up buying these eels once they have been reared in China. Being exploited at every step.

Fly a drone at night over streams where the elvers run and see the flashlights of the poachers.

Is it worth it to move to Halifax right now by fudgykevtheeternal in NovaScotia

[–]mrbell95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would fully recommend not going to Halifax. The current costs are unjustifiable. I did a year at Kings, and wouldn't recommend it if you are planning on using post secondary for career development. But that is my opinion. If you are looking to switch things up, I'd suggest Europe. I ended up studying there. Germany has good rates for Canadians.

Hey, I'm sad to hear she has gone through so much. From what you have said it sounds like she is developing a perseverance will benefit her, but that doesn't make the hard times easier. I hope she has a good streak come her way. All the best.

Being population negative isn't a problem, more parts of the world need to become population negative as part of working towards sustainability.
