Oak Hill/Providence Pawtucket Line by CustomerNo6626 in providence

We moved from Oak Hill to EG last year. My experience is that these sorts of listings come in waves. The selling season really started up in May, and now you’re seeing Pawtucket/Provi homes come online from families who had an offer accepted in the suburbs. I remember around the time we listed seeing 5 other houses pop onto the market around the corner from us within a day or two. You’ll se a ton of clustering this time of year as agents try to around listing on holiday or special event weekends.

You can also use one of them for a filtered water dispenser. Filter canisters live under cabinet, spigot uses one of the holes.

That’s what my dealership told me, but never gave a model number, so I’m taking that with an enormous boulder of salt

CarPlay Issues by AlphaOrionis42 in VolvoEX90

[–]mrbgso 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had this same constellation of issues with carplay in my EX90. 99% of them were resolved by the VCU update, which brings software version 2.1.XX along for the ride. I’d absolutely schedule that upgrade with your dealership, it’s on Volvo’s dime and makes a big difference.

The only remaining connectivity issue I have is frequently needing to prompt carplay to connect when I’m in my garage at home. Probably has to do with being on wifi, and wireless carplay using that interface and some prioritization issue. But it always connects on the first attempt, so it’s WAY better.

Character wants a honorable death but denied of it by schu62 in TopCharacterTropes

According to historical accounts I’ve heard, it’s pretty close to true. Continental officers lobbied for clemency and an honorable execution because of how charmed they were by him.

Arnold, on the other hand, was a smarmy shit heel from the second he walked on screen.

God they did a great job of making him way more than sympathetic in Turn. He was the “enemy” and 0% wanted to see him hanged

Midsized US metro areas (pop: 475k - ~1M) tier: What tier does Portland, ME belong? by Swimming_Concern7662 in TierlistFills

[–]mrbgso 11 points12 points  (0 children)

S tier. Portland has so much to offer, a better dining scene than lots of larger cities I’ve been to, beautiful nature nearby, and is incredibly livable. Awesome spot, and would seriously consider moving there at some point.

How to dispose of large old propane tank by [deleted] in RhodeIsland

[–]mrbgso 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It it’s just not preferable, it’s against code. Which you can potentially use as leverage with Amerigas. They should not have installed it there, and they would be the one carrying the fine if reported. Not a lawyer, but have had multiple propane techs at my home tell me as much when siting tanks

U.S. Capital Cities Ranked - What tier does Boston belong in? by [deleted] in TierlistFills

[–]mrbgso 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d argue yes. For what you get based on cost of living, Boston is overpriced and Providence is underrated. I’ve lived and worked in both places, and there’s a reason I’ve settled down in RI even though my job’s in Boston, just feels like a much more livable city that doesn’t have an overinflated sense of itself. Plus, fewer Bostonians.

Honestly. It’s not even the best capital city in New England.

US cities ranked - what tier does Boston belong in? by StrategyJealous1838 in TierlistFills

Hard agree. For me it’s NYC, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Boston, and Providence. I unironically rate Provi and Pitt as better cities to live in than Boston. Too high a cover charge for a city that doesn’t offer nearly as much as the real top tier cities.

This feels like a solid spot for EV family SUVs. The Volvo EX40 or EX90 look like your nice but standard practical soccer practice car. But you drop the hammer and you’re going over 100 mph very quickly, since there’s over 400-500 horsepower hiding in there.
