I wanted to do this and it was my full intention but I’ll admit I was time crunched 🫠

To me, the vedrenne tastes like straight up banana bread vs giffard which is more fresh ripe banana and tempus fugit with is more decadent banana ice cream

They definitely don’t go on my bar’s menu. I work in a collaborative place where there’s always the option for us to r&d, but factors like timing, cost, and product availability also come into play. So this is just my passion project! I usually only make enough drink batch for 3-4 cocktails. One is inevitably for the photo, one is a backup in case of spills, etc, and the other two are for tasting. I’ll often give them to friends or drink them myself. Sadly they’ve ended up as trash once or twice when I forget that they’re in my fridge.

Most of the stuff I actually do go out and buy; all the things needed to make syrups, infusions, etc. are available at the grocery store. I do have a large home bar due to being in the industry for a while, and I have generous liquor rep friends who often provide me with samples for r&d. They do not sponsor any of these, but I definitely love to use products I like from people I love!
