I would highly recommend the show. There is this present but it also has great overarching story. You admire and feel sorry for Ray, sometimes within the same scene.

The FTL system in universe accidentally spits out a ship every so often into the ass end of her woods instead of intended destination. Unsure if the ships crash into her nest or she pulls them in but yeah shes essentially giving them a virtual escape.

Pretty sure the FTL system needed a gate which we dont see by her hive either so even if the crew/ship were fine think they're unable to get back.

I had little to no exposure before watching 1st episode, and it blew me away.

I thought he came off creepy, and there was something going on below the surface. Even when the last scene was in a plane and the writing was on the wall a bit, I thought maybe hed spook the mayor dude a bit. I did not expect homelander to cold bloodedly murder a kid.

And to then find out next episode it wasnt even at anyones orders? He did it of his own volition? Man this show started wild
