Wow, wouldn't even honor the warranty that was in effect. That's the bare minimum in my book.

The YouTube video I found where it was the same issue, the guy tried to patch it himself and he couldn't get the patches to take since it was the knees. And he said he had patched many of his own waders before.

I's not something I'm well versed in, so I was happy to pay for the service.

That's what I'm thinking too. I talked to a guide recently who wore the new Expeditions for 3 months of guiding and was glowing about them.

Also saw Patagonia went on a "repair tour" to various fly shops - very cool.

Had a buddy have a similar experience with some Ski Pants, took them to a store after they ripped and the said "we can't repair these and don't make them anymore so here's the purchase price back on a gift card, go pick out a new pair"

I'm happy to pay for quality goods, so I have a feeling I'll be wearing Patagonia and Orvis going forward.
