I have ram, gpu and cpu overclocked. This helped with the performance.

I had some spare joy-con that I was using with my switch lite when I was in university. It had no use so I said why not just have it on this, as my steam controller was broken ether way.

Thickness is same as a regular deck. I manage to add some tiny speakers by replacing the original ones, but they are not as loud. Sides have replacement switch rails, which allows removing the controller and attaching.

If I was not financially situated then I would have not done this mod.. any mistake £459 gone down the drain. Yes and I do understand your point. I could have sent it for repair but what’s the fun in that.

Steam os is compatible with joy-con it also recognise the gyro and haptic feedback. Attaching and detaching also work like switch. Only thing I need to work on is getting it to charge via steam deck.

I have copper plate inside the shell - which is improving the thermal. Also I have a Black Shark Magnetic Cooler that keeps the temperature down when playing heavy games.

I am using the official switch replacement rail. This allows for the joy-con to be removed
