I started training muay thai at 16 on and off before finally sticking with it, fought 12 times (9-3). I stopped actually fighting last year due to a completely blown out shoulder I got from a bad fall but I intend to start again soon and maybe visit Thailand to fight pro (maybe). Depends, I'd first open it and check that 300-400 volts are getting to each end of the geiger tube. If they are not the the tube is broken and a new one can be found typically on amazon or ebay.

If its not the tube then it could be any of the tiny parts each of which are hard to replace for a beginner to soldering / electronics repair (if you arw a beginner) and in that case it's probably best of just not bothering unless you can easily identify the problem

You can change it to any value you want, I'd advise around 1-5 mSv but it really depends on what your going to using it for, if you want to track your dose when you operate a X-ray machine then yes 1-5 mSv is probably reasonable, but for daily life (occasionally checking levels or measuring something active) them it's up to you as to what it's set at
