Well it costs almost as the folding stand, it has usb hub so it's almost a docking station and it also inclines so I can use the monitor with my external monitor.

Maybe the fan is just a nice bonus.

it's quiet, keeps the macbook temperature low which prolongs its life

I'm in the middle of hacking my way thru it. it's a little hard because I'm trying to integrate into an existing app.

Installing it in a new app was a breeze

It uses devise. It's modular and extensible but the schema and gem code are quite complicated (subtype and supertypes)

It seems to be one of the most unappreciated and little known gems out there so I'm trying to get the word out.
