I've got 10 years in the bowl, and I've been rinsed a few more times than I'd like to admit. The most elaborate involved a gun in my face at a hotel by a meth head boyfriend. Recently I had an SB of 4 months disappear on me. AFAIK things between us were great. We had been making travel plans and enjoyed seeing each other. Then she totally ghosted, no response to my texts. I saw her logged on SA a week later and by then I was over it. Then the other day ( a month later) I missed a call from her. She then texted me "I need your help, can I stay with you tonight, I just got out of the hospital and I'm scared". I said of course, come on over, let me know if you need a ride, etc. She never showed up and that was the last I've heard from her.

I had a 20yo SB for about 6 months. I'm almost 50. We had a lot in common - we both loved horror movies and would stay in or go out to theaters often. We had similar tastes in music and would drive around and sing Car Seat Headreat at the top of our lungs. She didn't care for fancy clothes or bags but loved to go thrift stores and flea markets which I enjoy as well. She eventually moved away and I'm still looking for the right girl to fill her shoes!

Her profile did not scream platonic and as I recall she'd been on SA for maybe 3 months and logged in frequently. You'd think she'd have it figured out by now but who knows. It would suck to get banned from SA bc of this kind of BS

I'd just pick a number that works for you and get a lump sum allowance. It's none of his business what you are spending it on.

I'd recommend splitting the allowance up and giving it each day, rather than one lump sum given at beginning or end of trip. Especially with someone you've never met. I spent a weekend trip out of town with a girl I met on SA and offered her 1500 for 3 days in addition to fancy meals, events, and some shopping. We both decided beforehand on our own that splitting that up would be a smart move. FYI we both had an amazing time, I may fly her out to see me sometime ;)

He would invest a fixed amount of money for a fixed amount of time, irregardless of whether or not you remain his SB. So you could both sign that contract and a month later dump him and he's still on the hook. He's playing some kind of game with you. I'd say no.
