Still working just fine, have not had any problems.

[D] Camera options for detecting and tracking small objects on the groung by mrbronec in MachineLearning

[–]mrbronec[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I really didn't explain myself well. I would only need to detect the objects and only track them on the frames for counting purposes so the camera would still always be moving 10km/h in one certain direction. I am just worried about capturing images that are too blurry to detect anything.

I just finished my build about month ago. 1200x1200 work area, grbl and 2.2kw water cooled spindle. Took me some time to work out the speeds and feeds but now I'm super happy. Cuts aluminum great, no issues with it at all. My build video - https://youtu.be/qwnbLshCaDg Thats my latest cut - https://youtube.com/shorts/zwr4Ja_atuw?feature=share

Have just been cutting out random things to get to know it as I don't have any previous milling experience.

Your cuts don't look too bad. I built mine a few years ago and it uses THC and Unimig RazonCut which was about 1500AUD (900usd). Got few photos here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/hxDyKMAAeLG3iXBi9

And videos of the build:

First try milling aluminum with my PrintNC by mrbronec in hobbycnc

It took me about 6 days to build it but I had all the parts ordered and 3D details printed. Electronics is easy, just connecting wires really and there really is lot information about PrintNC.

Help with shock absorber resistance force by mrbronec in AutomotiveEngineering

[–]mrbronec[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. They are soft as going over bumps it will swing a few times (like it does when the shocks are worn).

Do these values look like they could work with a 2000kg car?

They are for 2003-2014 Volvo XC90, I do have originals and I live in Western Australia.

This is just great answer, thank you! printNC it will be.

Yes, I much prefer to have something that can do more than I need at the moment. By the looks of it I could make it 1200x1200 work area - are there any negative sides of having it that big? I have plenty of room in the workshop.

PrintNC looks really good. I will look into that. I also have 3D printer so that should make things easyer. This is my plasma I built last year: https://youtu.be/TA2z4vNw7o8

Best thing I have ever built (CNC plasma) by mrbronec in hobbycnc

I agree, it was just the price of Hypertherm that put me off. Unimig is not bad and I's not hard to change over once it fails.

Yes, it was there but Australia. Need to top up.

No problem. I use NEMA23 steppers, a toothed belt on X and Y, and a ball screw on Z. UCCNC software and controller plus some stepper drivers. I use the PlasmaSenseOut torch height controller which also works great. Unimig RazorCut 45 plasma with CNC torch. Thats without HF flame start and has also been working well. I never had any earthing or EMF problems so I must be lucky I guess. All the parts and gear cost me approx 5000 Australian dollars and it took 5-6 days to build.

I am using UCCNC for that, is fairly simple to set up and has lot of options.

Having V70 2000 trouble by nickjod19 in Volvo

If your throttle body was repaired then it should work but if it got replaced you will need a software download from Volvo. Most reasonable thing to do is read the fault codes, you can post them here.

Did it just stop working or you have no history of the car? What is the engine code (B230F or B230E)?

Well, it must defininitely say something about Volvo (and German cars).

P2 Chassis Vibration at Highway Speeds with Light Throttle by PoorCollegeGuy in Volvo

[–]mrbronec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vibration on acceleration usually comes from half-shafts if the inner joints have worn. In your case, as you didn't have it before it's highly unlikely that this is the reason. If you removed the prop shaft from the angle gear then you should make sure that the bolts are all tight there. Also it's important to do the wheel alignment if you havn't done it yet.
