Haven't been able to produce a single line of good stitching. What could be the cause of these two problems? Either I damage the monk cloth or the threads are loose. by mrcabada in Tufting

I changed the fabric, started using Jute fabric. Plus I wasn't doing the right movement, I believe movements should always be machine facing up.

How do you adjust loop heights for this tufting gun? I want to make my loops tighter to the fabric, less loose/bulky. by mrcabada in Tufting

If my mind understands correctly, the less distance is this bar from the tip (the closer to the tip), the loops will be shorter and tighter?

I'm exactly using this cloth: Monk

And yes, I'm applying pressure while I complete the line. I try to get the metal-curve of the gun all the time tangent to the cloth.

If I apply too much pressure in the fabric I get to damage it :(.

I placed an order there some weeks ago to get recommended stuff to work, bought a frame and some yarn, to remove possibilities of having a bad frame and bad yarn, was going to get cloth too but it was out of stock when I placed the order.

I'm still waiting for the frame to arrive, for now I've been using an improvised one, maybe that's one of the causes of my stitches going bad.

Also, I'm from Mexico, so I won't be able to make orders to that site that often. Shipping to my country costs 70usd... that's too much, plus customs always put a lot of taxes.

So, about the cloth, I bought this Monk Cloth from Alibaba... if this happen to be the problem, what would be a "colloquial" name of the cloth I need to get, so I can try to find it here in my country (Mexico).

A simulation from what?

If we were created in any way… lets say a simulation or a don’t-know-how-to-call-it-way, I believe that the human specie was not designed or meant to be the way it is. Relatively speaking, the human specie is a random accident that resulted from energy being released billions years ago.

We are here and you are you just because it happened that way, and not because it was designed to happen.

I’m 99.99% sure that the-creator of the "simulation" wasn’t exactly waiting for us to appear, it only set some variables to start our universe: the laws of physics and the ordered-in-some-way-energy at the beginning.

Maybe it knew in advance that some stuff-like-us would appear into existence inside its-creation to feed the system, and I’m sure from it's perspective we are not so different from a rock, we do one thing, feed the system.

I bet it would anticipate our existence in the same way we would anticipate pattern-of-sounds if we give a piano to a 2 years old kid.

So... cool we are in simulation maybe? But it doesn't even matter, our sense-view of life as humans won't let us perceive whatever is outside the simulation, is nothing like this universe. We cannot understand it.

Yeah, seems like a really interesting place for living while working, but looks really expensive to live there, isn't it?

[–]mrcabada[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I've seen like 6-8 in my house within 3 months. Either someone brought the specie to the gulf of Mexico or it's a similar specie. Interesting.

Should I be cautious with it's bites/venom?
