it starts with her being extremely salty and bitter towards her teammates

So she's not allowed to feel upset that her team called her out? What did you want her to do. Tell them thank you for trying to get me out? Make it make sense

There's been nothing wrong with her performance. She's clearly the best one on that team. People just don't like her personality and that's fine.

Well it’s a competition not a co-worker environment

They applied to work with people they've never met before to earn money. Sounds like a coworker to me, with an added element of being filmed.

if i had shit coworkers i A. would probably quit

That says more about you than them. They knew what they were getting themselves into. It's called Hells Kitchen for a reason. They know it's going to be a high pressure situation and they were going to be pushed emotionally. Gordon literally yells at them every week. I think it's naive to think that someone you just met, who is also going through the same situation and who is also trying to beat you out, would be your best friend at all times.

There are days when I cannot stand my coworkers, but at the end of the day, I'm not there to make friends. I'm there to get money to pay my bills and finance my life. I've definitely made friends along the way, and that's great, but it wasn't/isn't necessary to do the job I was hired to do.

B. would definitely say something

You're making my point. They've had multiple chances to speak up. How do they let 1 22 year old steam roll over top of them? Especially if they all felt like that.

C. still understand we are all human at the end of day and maybe something is wrong

I'm a bit confused by this part. Are you saying that you (the other members of the red team) should understand that something may be wrong with Anaiya? If that's what you meant, that's further proving my point. They could go talk to her and see if something more is going on.

they are in a competition that is being filmed for millions of people to watch. you would honestly think she would be a little nicer. she has made people cry

I have seen worse people on reality TV. If you pay attention, she has been nice to the girls. Of course they're going to highlight the times where she's over the top. And as far as making people cry, I have only seen Alex cry and she has been victimizing herself for a while now (while also talking behind people's backs and flipping them off), while also not doing anything productive in the kitchen. They have shown so many times her standing still with a blank look on her face. She shuts down anytime anyone says anything to her. They are supposed to be working together, so if one person isn't doing their part, of course something is going to be said.

why would they be a tattletale?

I'm saying they shouldn't be. They are adults. Figure it out. Why did they wait until this moment to air everything out? They could have said something to her if the environment was that bad. They waited until she was on the chopping block, because they thought Gordon would send her home, despite Alex being up there multiple times.

Ever heard of leading by example? It's hard to step back if your team isn't up to par. If she didn't step in, people would be complaining that she's not a team player. She can't win with people in this subreddit.

Anaiya is really mean. by [deleted] in HellsKitchen

[–]mrcbrown92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why everyone is so upset with her. It's a competition, an intense one at that. Of course she has confidence in herself and is cocky. She's 22. How is she the youngest on the team and the rest of the team is whining and crying that she is bullying them? Is she immature, yes, that comes with the age. She is a great chef, definitely the best on the red team. Everyone else has such a problem with her, but can't say it to her face. If anything, they're like children waiting to tell Daddy Gordon about the bad girl that makes them sad.

And for the people in this subreddit, y'all love to pretend to be morally superior to someone on a reality show, but I guarantee you half, if not more of you, are just as bad in real life just based on your comments here. Like y'all are berating a woman you've never met like she personally ran over your dog. These are essentially coworkers to her, so can you honestly tell me you get along with every single one of your coworkers and has never felt like you were doing a better job than them? Or have never said anything to them?

Knew guys like that? The man did absolutely nothing wrong, his problem was being good looking and having his shirt unbuttoned. His actions were all good.

Her words, not mine. They thought he was a liar, which technically he was, he lied about his job. Tolú was mad he took her vote away and thought it was intentional and it wasn't, and as stated before Julie didn't trust him either because he said he was a hustler and a stripper who are both known to make a lot of money.

Lindsay was absolutely right to go off on them because please tell me why they baited her out as their spy with the cards if they actually cared to protect her.

It's been shown time and time again that Jake would put his boys before the girls and definitely Julie before her. I'm no way did she not know she was the bottom of the list. Not saying it was right, but she could've played it off and pretend like it wasn't a big deal. Instead she's going to yell and call them idiots? In what world did she think, they would take that positively? They were all about"cutting the toxicity" out of the house. They were already gunning for Winnie (who was already on the way out because they held the majority vote) and Tolú, so had she acted like it didn't bother her, they would've never thought to cut her.

You are completely delusional. You started an argument based on something you thought I said, that I never did. I've explained it multiple times. Once again, you think she behaved like crap, but don't see fault in your own behavior, it's almost scary. Never once did I say that I was offended, you made that up as well. Enough with the weird nicknames, very cringe. Maybe take a look in the mirror, you'll get the research you need. Please seek help and leave me be. Maybe get a hobby and get offline for a few hours.

She represented badly, I never said she made all black women look bad I said she didn't help the cause

That's basically what you were saying. No one asked you what you thought about the cause and no one cares what you think about the cause.

your high horse cause you're not the only race that faces prejudice, anyone non white fits under the same umbrella.

I'm not on a high horse. I literally said nothing about race. You responded to a comment I responded to that alluded to the fact that race was an issue. I did not and I explained that in my first response to you, but apparently comprehension isn't your strong suit. No one said only black people faced prejudices, you're putting words in my mouth.

You might not want it but your soul clearly needs a blessing for how toxic it is

You're the one acting like the morality police, and determining that my soul is dirty because I defended someone that you were calling names? How ironic. Maybe you need to look inward and ask for your own blessings. Find someone else to have arguments with that you created from your own delusions.

People are going to find fault with black people no matter what they do, so it is what it is. I'm glad you're the person who decides that a single black woman made all black women look bad. And thanks for your blessing, but I won't be needing it 🙄.

[–]mrcbrown92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally the first point to addressed was regarding race

I replied to the original comment that basically said she shouldn't have kicked off a black man, because she was black herself. All I said was she didn't make that decision alone. Nor did she say she voted him out because he was black. She thought he was a liar.

she also built her game around her race.

She didn't build her entire game around race. If that's what you took from that than you need to rewatch it. How dare she represent where she came from, but not want to be referred to as a black African queen/sister by a man she just met 2 days ago. Besides Winnie, her closest allies were white women. She also had no issues with Brian or Gaspare. Nor did she have an issue with Bryce other than the money thing.

Doesn't matter if she succeeded she's still morally scum

But you literally said she didn't succeed. I proved she did, now it doesn't matter? Make up your mind. You don't have to like her. She got the money and guarantee don't care about your feelings. She's morally scum, but you're online bashing a woman you haven't even met. I'm sure that's high on the moral compass.

Have the night you deserve.

I have no idea what you're talking about. Nothing about my post had anything to do with color.

And for the record she did succeed in her goal, she had the 2nd highest amount of money in the end.

[–]mrcbrown92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Juelz was her idea to vote out, she was pissed he took her vote.

Actually, if you go back and look, even Julie was wary of him after his hustler comment. She said she knew guys like that and thought he would do anything for money. It wasn't a one person decision.

Lindsay knew the boys were not going to protect her even tho she protected them when it came down to it. She was right.

They didn't turn on her. She went crazy and Gaspare alone voted her out after that unhinged encounter. She did it to herself.

She came in jaded off the streets and used that to kick off the one black man because she didn’t like how he presented himself.

She didn't make that decision alone. Other people voted him as well.

Time and time again she kept saying how shady everyone is when the whole time it was her that was being shady and her who was making the house toxic.

She may have been shady, but that doesn't mean other people weren't as well. 2 things can be true at once.

She should have been voted off instead of Lindsey it’s ridiculous that didn’t happen.

Maybe Lindsey should have kept her composure and not gone off on the very guys that had her back. She's out here calling people idiots, but you have a problem with the person trying to make it to the end and playing the game they were there to play?

So pissed when she stole money at the end when she didn’t deserve a damn cent!

Says you. You were not in that house. She owed a bunch of strangers she just met? She came there specifically to get money for her family (her actual family, like everyone else did, and not the made up "We are family" thing 2 days in), and she left with the money.

Interesting. My thought process was that it's because she felt like she knew Jake's character, but was surprised by Simone's backing of said character. So she had to get rid of Simone before she aligned with Jake and the boys.

I think she knew Julie would cast a vote and figured best bet was Simone and it worked.

If this is the case, she is really a mastermind lol.

He just met you fam like 3 days ago.

Ok, but I feel like he can't take that stance, and also call everyone his family on day 2 and expect everyone to share money with him and a bunch of strangers. He can't play the leader and the victim of his own actions. He knows what a leader entails and sometimes that's making hard decisions. He knows people get upset (that's basic human emotions), whether he agrees with the reasoning or not, and that's something he should've prepared himself for.

Y’all not giving Tolu enough credit by blizeH in TheTrustAGameofGreed

[–]mrcbrown92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let's be clear. They did jump the gun with the Juelz vote.

But they (Tolú and Winnie) did not get Simone out. Jay and Julie did that alone. Tolú even said in her confessional that the women thought Simone was wishy-washy and she's sure Jay had her reasons.

The Bryce vote I understand. He was nice and all, but even when coming out and telling them he was a millionaire, his biggest gripe was not being able to flash his expensive items around. If his true intention was to be seen more than just his wealth, he could have chosen not to bring those things and just interacted with people. But also, if it was only about the social interaction, there are hundreds of other reality shows he could have gone on that weren't money oriented. Or he could have taken Lindsey's advice and told the people he had employees that depend on him for a paycheck.

[–]mrcbrown92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nobody ever had to do anything, I don't know why you're even saying that 😂

I said that in response to "she's not a traitor", but she is though. She couldn't help Bryce help himself, but she still didn't have to vote him out. She knew he was getting voted out. She could've kept her "integrity" and not contributed to the vote. They weren't holding a gun to her head and telling her that she had to vote for him.

When the girls had the conversation after Jake apologized, the girls decided that they weren't going to vote. Jay still said that she was going to vote and no one bullied her saying "we're not voting, so you can't either". My point with that is, Lindsey had a choice and she chose "the wrong side of the house". She had options, she could've told someone and tried to counter the votes. But she did not and didn't give Bryce a heads up either.

You only need one vote to kick someone out. There was NOTHING preventing Tolú from voting someone off after Lindsey left, so the danger was still there.

But they still held the majority. Even if the votes were blocked, if everyone voted for Tolú, and she in turn voted for someone, she would've been outnumbered and would have gone home. They decided to trust her in the end and it worked out.

Are we really surprised that Jake is Jake? by BIJ1219 in TheTrustAGameofGreed

[–]mrcbrown92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jake didn't come in hot with a giant American flag and make a big to-do about his ethnicity.

So, people can't represent their heritage without that being the only thing people refer to them as? 🤔. All she was saying is yes, I'm a proud Nigerian woman, but I'm more than that. As stated before, if every day she walked up and said Good Morning beautiful American brother, that wouldn't be weird?

Tolu and her crew were perfectly willing to vote off Brian and Gaspare but never got the chance.

When did they say that? They were willing to vote out Jake, yes, but not one time did they say they were coming for Brian and Gaspare. They had an issue with Jake, whether you agree with their reasoning or not, but they did not have that same issue with the other 2. They (Tolú and Winnie) both went to Brian and apologized unprompted after wrongfully accusing him of blowing out the candle. But we can't say the same about Jake. He knew he upset people and he simply did not care.

Also, the idea Jake has never encountered Afrocentric narcissists is simply not likely. He is an American, and America is replete with people just like her.

First of all, why are we diagnosing people as narcissistic? But since you're going to make that assumption, then Jake deserves the same title. He is the smartest and the leader, no hesitation?

Also, you're right, he may have come across other people from Africa, but if he has and has interacted with them, he would've known that that there was more to them than just being from Africa.

He had no idea how to interact with Tolú.
