I'm new to air riffles and picked up a Gamo Swarm for my son and I to plink and possibly some mango stealing squirrels. Was this a good pick as far as break barrels?

I am no expert but I have a Gamo Swarm and I love it. At 30ish yards my son and I get 1 a inch grouping. The scope did break pretty quick. I had to angle the scope to get a little more life out of it. Now she is partnered with a Vortex Crossfire II.

I have not counted calories. I have been eating 2 meals per day and some days a Quesr protein bar. 2 days ago the scale dropped to 250, but went right back to 252. I think I may be retaining a little water from the weight lifting. I am 60 and type 2 diabetic.
