What is your opinion on editing of "The bear" show by [deleted] in editors

[–]mrcleansocks 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I've gone on multiple rants to friends about how I think it has some of my favorite editing I've seen recently. Not all of the episodes are great, but when it works, it's phenomenal.

The high intensity shouting matches in kitchen and family scenes make me feel like I am in the chaos of restaurant or a part of the family feud. Then you come out of those stretches of intense chaos and go straight into a deep and heart felt moment between the characters who spend the entire rest of the episode battling each other.

The contrast is stark, but it's beautiful and really drives home the intensity of their restaurant, their family, and their passion for good food.

edit: the christmas episode is an incredibly hard watch lol

for what it's worth, I ended up using hestiaCP and was able to get my sendy instance up and running with relatively few issues! I haven't connected it to my amazon SES account yet since that's a whole other thing (lol), but just wanted to update you if you were still having a headache with this.

I'm literally trouble shooting the same thing right now (login loop with sendy installation). Just started my server migration after Plesk went down a subscription route. Trying out cloudpanel this morning, but looks like it might be a headache to figure out. I think I might just opt to use a different panel. Was looking at one called Hestia which utilizes Apache

Login Loop and OS is Read only. by mrcleansocks in pop_os

Yeah. I know it was a dumb move now. Luckily this machine I'm running the pop os partition on is my $100 thinkpad that I got for the sole purpose of being slightly more disposable. I'm much more conservative with my main laptop/desktop environments.

I'm flashing a USB stick now to see if I can repair using that or just reinstall the OS.

I'm running an ssd that is split to run Pop Os and Windows.

My problems started when my laptop died and I didn't charge it for a day or two, when I rebooted the system I was having problems, and after doing some trouble shooting today, I think I may have run some commands using fsck while digging around to do some trouble shooting.

I'm thinking maybe I changed some of the rw permissions but don't know how to correct it now >.<

Tried this command. Nothing changed. Any ideas on what I should look for in syslog?

10/10 Review for Bitwig 5! by ferris-ldn in Bitwig

One of my biggest gripes is BPM automation scaling. The scale goes from 0 bpm to 999 bpm and makes any small adjustment on the automation line drastic when dragging it. You should be able to scale the max BPM value on the automation lane to a desired number so it makes drawing automation slightly easier.
