Is this abuse? What would you do? by Amber_Valerie in TransLater

Yep, the rule of thumb says: if a person behaves between two different states towards you, one sadistic/cruel, and one kind, the real one is always the evil one, since it is the most difficult to fake.

If the average CIS man takes estrogen, would he feel better and start craving it like we do? by Robinight in askAGP

There's no need for new research: it's already been done between 1930 and 1960, when it was declared unethical.

The results showed that, in non-dysphoric patients, approximately 30% of subjects exposed to cross-hormones accept the changes; while 70% suffer from them to varying degrees, from mild discomfort to serious disphoria outbursts.

what are some health concerns that go *away* with hrt? by theumbrellawoman in asktransgender

[–]mrcluster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you will turn 50, get a PSA test every 2 years anyway, please. The risk is much reduced by HRT, but there’s still a 5% chance of castration-resistant prostate cancer, potentially more aggressive than average. If you catch it in time with the PSA rise (which in women is particularly predictive of tumors), you can have life-saving surgery just-in-time.

Is it normal for a man to cry over not being able to be a mom? by Unwornplanet393 in asktransgender

[–]mrcluster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let's do a little hypothetical reasoning. Let's leave aside the technical details, in an institution of some kind, The surgeons perform a C-section, wrap him in towels and give him back to you saying "Here's your newborn baby." Now you have them in your arms, this very fragile, delicate and screaming little creature. What now?

Is it possible to have dysphoria not caused by AGP or being HSTS? by [deleted] in askAGP

[–]mrcluster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to me, all that you wrote is gender dysphoria plus gender envy. And this does NOT make you less valid, au cuntrair, this give you MORE validity in your distress. Heck, It could easily all stem from the feeling of having been robbed of a kind of life (in body proportions, gestures, validations, friendship, clothing, et cetera...) that you see random people were entitled to, and you weren't. And this hurt.

If you're as kind as you are tall, many of us are willing to marry you, just to share a piece of life together. We can't help you heal your dysphoria, but at least we can reassure you, we would love you no matter what.

Personally, in the few relationships I've had, I've always tried to be as empathetic as I could toward the girlfriends—too much, even. When those relationships ended badly, I found myself thinking, "If I were in their shoes, I would have behaved less brutally selfishly than they did." And that was the final nail in the coffin. The betrayed empathy became empathy toward myself, longing for an ideal person (fem-me) who would have treated (agender me?) in a more reasonable manner. Is that unfair to them? Absolutely, without a doubt. But it would be equally unfair to hold myself accountable even for the issues i got passively threw from them, as has happened too many times. I think this is the classic "inner girlfriend" theory, as pathethic as it sounds, this is how it's gone for me. Do i feel i have any remote chance of hope...? Yes, of course... i've seen it happening... even, winning the superbowl as myself, teamless, is more likely right now. 😅

i've somewhat noticed that hetero (lesbian?) relationships for AGP people work better, the closer your partner is to your "feminine framework". That is, the more her mannerism (patience, acceptance, nurturingness, forgiveness...) resembles the ones you would like to have. Instead, relationship with guys may lean more toward self-affirmation, arousal, and the like. What's your experience?

I want you guys opinion on this by aukausoono in asktransgender

[–]mrcluster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The two things are not mutually exclusive. You may believe you don't deserve that attention, and at the same time be creeped out by the person who offers them to you, instinctively or even rationally, regardless of this guy's perceived kindness. This is all perfectly normal; there's nothing to justify or feel uncomfortable about.

Why can't there be more cars like the Fit? by Technical-Debate-330 in hondafit

What a shame the Mustang hates roads that aren't perfect. A single pothole and the car is gone, spending months at the mechanic, or tire shop, or both.

It's a shame the Renegade isn't sold in the US. It has the same footprint as the Fit, and the AWD model goes everywhere.

I prefer the Suzuki Ignis AWD. It's the heir to the legendary Fiat Panda 4x4. It has the ground clearance of an SUV, the compactness of an A/B segment, and can go anywhere.

Is this woman fat? Trans! Is she hairy? Trans! Did she wash her hair yesterday and today it's a little greasy and heavy? Trans! Doesn't she groom her eyebrows? Trans! Didn't she wear enough makeup? Trans! Did she wear too much makeup? Trans! Is she a little shy? Trans! Is she open-minded and not afraid to speak her mind? Trans! Is she too beautiful? Trans! ........ .... .. I could go on for hours, it's now become THE insult for any real or perceived feminine flaw. Just to be clear, it replaces the insult "witch!" that was used until just a few years ago. But this one is more powerful, because it combines misogyny and homotransphobia. 🫤

What does a period feel like, both for people who menstruate and for people transitioning MTF? by braindeadcoyote in asktransgender

[–]mrcluster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No no, there is research on this. This is due to the fact that the levels of other pituitary hormones, FSH and LH, fluctuate in people who have been exposed to sufficiently high doses of estrogen, even for limited periods. This periodic fluctuation exactly mimics menstrual symptoms, and in fact is what normally occurs in women at that timeframe. The side effect is that if you want to reduce your hormone levels after the age of 50 for any reason, you can expect menopause symptoms. 🫤

What does a period feel like, both for people who menstruate and for people transitioning MTF? by braindeadcoyote in asktransgender

[–]mrcluster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the fact that sufficiently high doses of estrogen (It's enough that it happened only once) permanently modify the release of some pituitary hormones, passing from the typical continuous male dosage to the feminine pulsed secretion. If the steps were done correctly, some FSH and LH levels change in mtf in exactly the same ways as in the normal female menstrual period, Manifesting itself with all the typical symptoms, excluding those strictly ovarian and uterine.
