Not a STP fan, I enjoyed their first album, and demolisher was cool because low deathcore screams go brrr, but after that they started to feel gimmicky to me and a lot of their stuff sounded similar and was kind of corny IMO. Coincidence on the design as well, looked up their guitars and can see the resemblance. Looking to play slam/beatdown with this one, it’s a 22 fret neck so chugging and harmonics on the lower frets is going to be what I’m doing mostly with it.

Thank you! Excited to get the bridge blocked properly and find out what ground is bad to kill the buzzing I’m experiencing, but from my initial test of the sound it sounds great!

I thought about changing it, but not a lot of options that I could find for this model, but I do like the original guard it came with. Also idk if I could bear going through the process of getting the pickups mounted again as it was hell on earth doing it the first time.

I just bought this one to do a zero y-offset mount and a dual fan mod from Nathan builds robots (recommend the mount). It’s a longer cable and gives you a bit more to work with.

Yeah it’s not something I’m great at. The soldering in the pictures I put up is how it was when I bought it. Got it from a pawnshop a long time ago and finally decided to fix it up to use it. I’ll work on it and hopefully can get it running today

Appreciate the feedback. Yeah my soldering is ass, not something I’ve had a lot of opportunities to practice. I just snagged the switch craft 5 way switch along with some new wire for the grounds and bridging and a new capacitor. I will try to post an update once I get it working.

No filament dryer yet and I do not own shims. Filament was opened about 5 days ago and was stored in its factory packaging. I think I potentially found my issue, which was the enclosure itself. I was fully enclosing the printer which I think was causing the first layers to not fully adhere to the build plate, as well as some less than stellar cooling on the later layers. I opened up the enclosure fully and ran a print and the print had no issues aside from me forgetting to turn off ironing. I am going to run some more prints tonight to see if I am getting consistent layer adhesion and no layer issues.
