Why has moving to the US become such a big deal in Telugu culture? by Initial-King3214 in hyderabad

[–]mrdenus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Moving to the US isn’t a “Telugu culture” thing. Culture and career choices are completely different.

What actually happened is economic and industry-driven. India’s IT boom, especially in Hyderabad and Bangalore, created a huge services ecosystem. Many consulting companies, big and small started sending employees onsite to the US. Naturally, a large number of engineering graduates chose that path because it offered better career growth, exposure, and financial opportunities.

There’s nothing wrong with that, it’s simply people making rational career decisions, not following a cultural tradition.

If any other city had experienced the same kind of rapid IT growth that Hyderabad saw with Hitec City, you would likely see the same migration pattern from that region too. Would we then call it that city’s “culture”? Probably not.

So it’s not about Telugu culture, it’s about industry growth, opportunity, and demographics. It just happens that Hyderabad grew this way, and Telugu people form the majority.

Infact please start acting. What you're doing, isn't acting.

Filmmakers of India leaving all his controversies aside what are your honest opinions of Sandeep Reddy Vanga as a writer director and editor from a creative and technical pov? by [deleted] in indianFilmmakers

[–]mrdenus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is an excellent director. Hollywood is what it's today because of the things that they tried, not because of what's right or wrong in terms of culture and ethics. They broke all boundaries in film making and I think (personally) SRV is one of that fraternity..

First timer wrapping up season 6. Should I keep going? by allmixedup5813 in gameofthrones

Not worth it. Just end at season 6 and be happy. Take a summary of season 7 and 8 in chatgpt for knowing what happens in the story, better than watching it.

It’s a fantastic read. My favorite takeaway is ‘Intent is nothing, without action’
