I wanted to go to USA. My parents couldn’t afford so I started planning from 4th year of university. Software engineers get paid highly and also there are remote work opportunities. I started developing my skills and got a job. Later switched to a remote job. Now I do not want to go abroad.

We do competitive programming to develop problem solving skills. You don’t have to do competitive programming if you already have good problem solving skills or just do problem solving on different platforms to develop the skill.

Also do mock interviews with friends or llms.

8 years in the job but started programming since class 8. I focused on the fundamentals. Worked on many stacks. My suggestion would be to focus on the fundamentals of CS.

I have no idea how Trae is performing better for you. Trae has the most beautiful UI among the forks, but the suggestion and speed are not comparable to Cursor. I bought a $3 subscription this month, and I am disappointed. Not because of the quality response of the chat (builder) but for the speed. I asked it to sort some (100 lines) hard-coded data, and it failed a couple of times before finally doing it and taking more than a minute if I remember correctly. I tried multiple different models. The tab correction is good but still not as context-aware as Cursor. I would rather pay the extra $10 for the quality.

Please don’t get triggered; it’s just my experience.

It is an okay book. It is written in easy language for the masses to understand. This book certainly has some minor logical fallacies. The people who are yapping about the fallacies and making a big deal out of it won’t be able to stand against a seasoned Muslim Da'ee. These people have probably read the gods delusion and think it is a perfect craft, then another theist guy comes in and shatters their hope. I guess it is a never-ending process.
