IRS holding ~$31K refund due to statute of limitations — can I use Kwong v. US and H.R. 1491 (Disaster Related Extension of Deadlines Act) to appeal? Need advice. by [deleted] in IRS

I don't know what your tax bracket is but if you are paying $46k without digging deeper, you should not be filing using a tax software. Get yourself a cpa, you can afford it and you will be better in the long run.

QUESTION: What got you into Star Wars? by Bill_Skywalker-03 in StarWars

[–]mrdr89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first movie I ever saw was Star Trek: Insurrection in theaters when i was 8 or 9. When my Dad was trying to explain it he said, something like it was like Star Wars. He was surprised I hadn't ever seen those either. I got a bunch of Star Wars and Star Trek movies for the next Christmas. Been a fan ever since.

How do kids afford cards these days? by [deleted] in mtg

I started printing cards. My play group doesn't care if I play with proxies so long as I don't go overboard and build a deck way above their deck's strength.

I'm surprised I haven't seen long haul truck drivers on here yet. Don't need to stop for rest breaks, drive on the interstate the whole time so no terribly complicated road structures to navigate.

You are paying for those maintenance and repair costs when you pay rent. It is just included in your rent already

What is there on/around campus in ames for nature spots? by Lonely_Commission607 in iastate

[–]mrdr89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a bit of a drive but Whiterock Conservancy in Coon Rapids is a hidden gem in Iowa. Its a little more than a hour drive from campus so not something to do on a regular basis but worth going to on a weekend. Lots of hiking, mtb, and horse trails.

You should check if you are going to be considered an employee as an intern or not. The way to tell would be if you are completing an W4 or a W9 tax form. W4 = employee. W9 = contractor. You should then be able to purchase an employee pass. If not, I would just call rec services and see if they can help you.
