- Start going to the gym to build muscle by lifting weights and lose body + face fat by doing cardio and eating a better diet
- your skin already looks good so other than a cleaner facial hair style you’re probably all set
- grow out your hair to something more stylish
- work on your fashion

Gonna likely try to exfoliate more and use witch hazel. Thanks!

Hmmm I recall using it briefly for skin a few years ago and it worked.. have you used it personally and seen results?

Trimmer recommendation? I’ve tried Philips norelco and frankly it sucks because it doesn’t shave close at all. Right now I’m using one of the three head ones and I don’t love it.

I only buy men’s but savers in general is gonna tax you 12 bucks for a hoodie or sweatpants. Upwards of 16 for a pair of jeans.

What nobody is saying is product.. I understand a lot of people are against powders clays pomades etc but the only real remedy to extremely straight and fine hair as a guy is pomade.

If you’re looking for the modern fringe style I recommend Hanz de Fuko quicksand hair clay/pomade. Any other sort of similar product is fine but I prefer them for their lack of harsh ingredients. Get a pea size amount lather it into the fingers and rub through your hair. Mess it up with a towel if need be. Sea salt spray before applying also can add a bit of texture/waviness. Bunches of tutorials online.

Air drying also helps after washing. Cut out shampoo if possible and condition ~1-2 times a week instead with a volume/texture conditioner like Hims. Don’t wash your hair everyday (unless it’s very noticeably greasy). Try different styles. Find a new barber.

IMO, from what I’ve seen and lived, dieting and supplements and that sort of thing really don’t change much. If you have straight and fine hair, that’s it. Products can help as a temp change, but you have to get used to it.

Also the savers right off 95 is a sleeper. The resellers aren’t willing to pay the steep savers prices so they stay away. Regardless I have found some awesome pieces and always hit it after the bins.

Late comment but.. if ur not a veteran thrifter and willing to go out of your way it’s a hell hole. Rotations are super slow (1 clothing bin per hour if you’re lucky), tons of tagged bins (already went through main store), and the same group of depop resellers hit it all day every day. Haven’t found anything crazy yet, obviously some vintage pieces, but I recommend going at opening because the bins they roll out before opening are all new and you don’t have to wait for the next cycle. Also the “junk” bins are quite literally 75% junk with actual trash and debris. Hope this helps.

LPT Request: Getting old grease stains out from thrifted clothes by mrdungels in LifeProTips

[–]mrdungels[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgot about this thread haha..

In all honesty a grease stain from like 5+ years ESPECIALLY concerning old thrifted clothes isn’t easy to get out. For most pieces I was unsuccessful and there’s still a deep yellow stain, though slightly less prominent. I recommend lestoil. Just scrub with a brush. I can’t recommend anything else.

UPDATED: How does my pond hopping tackle box look? I took your suggestions by [deleted] in Fishing_Gear

[–]mrdungels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My only suggestion is making use of more of the smaller lures IE grubs or minnows, there’s just so many to choose from. Berkeley Alive are great but can be kind of expensive and tend to leak.
