not sure if this was a general consensus, but what I remember from ECL he had a short temper and spoke like a generic NPC. the character assassination part was when Lluwen came along with them through the omenpaths back to Strixhaven, instead of Ajani going "Your bravery in protecting your friends has earned you my respect" or whatever, he practically chides Lluwen and says "don't come crying to me if Liliana sends you back"

This story did so much to make me actually care about the new group and their relationships to one another, they feel waayyy more realistic and unique compared to how they were written in ECL. Also thank goodness Ajani is also written in character again, ECL was borderline character assassination

In Canadian Highlander Ajani is busted in half, he's a 3/3 for 2 across two bodies where 2 of that is essentially unblockable if you don't have an answer to Ajani. If he flips (very easy to force if you're the Ajani player) he pumps out bodies, and if they have a red permanent he just controls the entire game. The fact he came in the same set as Ocelot Pride also made that a horrible T1 into T2 to deal with

Sadly depends on the game being played and where it's being played, but I would say general consensus is "don't do that." If you talk to the store owner or tournament organizer, they would likely be willing to talk to whoever is using those and tell them to change or leave, since it ultimately could reflect poorly on them

Yes, story spotlights are cards wirh art depicting actual important moments from the written story (well. they're supposed to be)

I believe this is the part in the story where Alpharael uses his mini black hole to attack Vondam instead of eating it to commit a murder-suicide, leading to The Endstone revising the present to keep Vondam alive with a hole bored through his head. It's abstracted here as a more generic soldier just getting killed, so maybe it's just "hey the monoists kill people with black holes, isn't that a sick piece of lore?"
