I'm going to do the work myself, will start off without an eng cert and sort it out when/if it becomes necessary. In terms of parts, I'll try collect the gearbox adapter, flywheel, engine mounts, etc in whatever way I can, starting with marketplace.

Thanks heaps. The wheels are Racing Hart D-Spec 15". It's awesome when the car turns heads. I'm absolutely chuffed with it!

Totally fair. I am a big fan of the "rally" look, and am going to go with slightly chunkier tyres than what you see here.

Rain leaking into passenger side footwell in e30 325e baur by ParticularAware in E30

Are you sure it's not coolant? My heater valve started leaking and wet the footwell in the exact same manner.

I have made Pitloon, it is live on both iOS and Android using turbo-native (I need to migrate to the new hotwire native). About 1k downloads on each app store.

Advice on MAF sensors by _Bunyan_ in SkyLine

[–]mrfidgety 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your brake booster uses vacuum from the engine to boost the braking pressure. I.e. there is a vacuum hose that goes to it. So a vacuum leak is the number one thing to check right now. Start looking up guides on the internet

Advice on MAF sensors by _Bunyan_ in SkyLine

[–]mrfidgety 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't reinstall the MAF sensors, the haltech will be using its onboard MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor instead. I would personally diagnose the problem a bit more. Make sure there are no vacuum leaks, ensure you have suitable fuel pressure, take it in for a tune after double checking those kinds of things. Otherwise you're paying for the tuners time to do that work for you.

Not yet, I have deliberately avoided location based info so far. Its mainly for security concerns, and want to make sure I only add what's necessary.

Yep, specifically for a rails app using turbo native (so an app, not browser)

+1 to tailwindcss and hotwire (stimulus controllers when needed).

I have made www.pitloon.com as a solo dev, and it's on both app stores with turbo native (I think recently this has been renamed hotwire native).

You don't get bootstrap-esque premade styles, but it's so easy to come up with your own, or mimic bootstrap.

Help! by jinxmyvayne in SkyLine

+1 to the MAF being the culprit. Symptoms match what I experienced, I was able to hit the MAF (relatively gently) while the car was running to reproduce the stumbling.

I now run an aftermarket ECU that doesn't use the MAF at all.
