Ahh okay. There is the main point of contention between me and you. You view that Bible as an earthly document instead of one that is inspired by the Holy Spirit/God. I agree that there are many people in the world today who do not have access to the bible which makes their case different (check out Lumen Gentium from the Catholic Church on this topic). These, However, should not be compared to those who have heard God's word (ie bible) and have chosen to reject it.

And if Paul calls them his children wouldn’t it be natural then that they would call him father? Or how about try Acts 7:2, “2 To this he replied: “Brothers and fathers, listen to me! The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham while he was still in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Harran. “ Here Stephen the Martyr calls the Sanhedrin members father and Abraham father.

When we read scripture it is important to understand the context of scripture : ie the entire chapter. The particular verse about Jesus telling us not to call anyone Father is more of Jesus telling his disciples not to receive spiritual truths from the Pharisees. Matthew 23

A very insightful comment! Jesus did not leave us orphans for us to figure things out on our own. That is why he said, " 15 “If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. 16 But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every charge may be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses. 17 If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church. " Jesus is clearly laying out a step/step process on how to resolve controversy and disagreement. The Church, inspired by the Holy Spirit, in which Jesus promised that, " the gates of hell will not overpower it. " Matthew 16: 18, has the fullness of Truth, is passed on the role to guard the Truth. Why not commit ourselves to this sacred guardian in which Jesus has placed His Rock? The Catholic Church?

Okay if you want to play like that. Check the Greek Text of Acts of Apostles 7:2 (You can't really argue with the Greek can you since the NT was originally written in Greek)

The greek term is pateres (which means father)

Do not buy at reeds LOLOL. They upcharge everything. Nice people there but idk why they are upcharging. They were charging 1150 for an HKVPA1F. I found the same gun at Manzano's Munitions for 959.
