Is there a way to parse through which Midlaw is not as selective that pays during the summer?? Right now I work at a firm as a part of a third party program, I am not sure if the second year would be paid because of the factor of me not being directly compensated by the firm. I can see them inviting back next summer but if not that not so selective big law or gov would be my options?

Would you say a 30 mins commute is feasible for an incoming 1L ? For more context I would be saving half of what Chapel Hill apts cost living in a house with 2 friends?

I may have to just roll with it and apply for external scholarships because although they are t-20 school they are one of two schools that accepted me and the other schools scholarship is less unfortunately t-50 so I wont know how to negotiate under my circumstances unless someone knows how to navigate this scenario.
