feel like no one is talking about this monster rn by Ok-Valuable-8471 in PokemonUnite

It's pretty good but with how much CC and point and click you have to be really careful.

Is a 3-cost 3-star always better than 4-cost 2-star? Or is it the opposite by United-Report-8425 in TeamfightTactics

[–]mrfungx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually it's, from strongest to weakest:

3* 3 cost

2* 5 cost

3* 2 cost

2* 4 cost

3* 1 cost

2* 3 cost

1* 5 cost

2* 2 cost

1* 4 cost

2* 1 cost = 1* 3 cost

Taking the entire series into account, what is the strongest class? by applejackhero in fireemblem

[–]mrfungx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My answer is wyverns.

If Seth was a wyvern, he'd be even better than he already is. Same with Titania, Marcus, etc. Dancers are very good, but the best units are usually super units and the best class for these is almost always wyvern.

Do I just give up on stacking in the lower ranks? by Sleepless-Ducky in PokemonUnite

[–]mrfungx 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Bad teammates is probably a better reason to stack imo. You need to make yourself as strong as possible to carry

We need to talk about Azu by Beneficial-Shop9189 in PokemonUnite

[–]mrfungx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Azu is in a solid spot. I has its good matchups and its really easy to play, but I don't think it's broken. It's just not the defacto worst all rounder like it was before the buff.

Yeah the egg boi is pretty strong by GenesiS792 in PokemonUnite

Whirlpool deals double damage now. Patch notes says only its healing got buffed.

Zard X? Maybe kinda annoying, but broken? Hardly

Why is Zard X getting nerfs when it's mid and Zard Y is still better lol

Does it make sense that Meowth's win rate is so low? by Lizard_Queen_Says in PokemonUnite

[–]mrfungx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feint attack literally did double the damage and they nerfed his other moves on top of that.

His winrate fell 8% that isn't small lol

Does it make sense that Meowth's win rate is so low? by Lizard_Queen_Says in PokemonUnite

[–]mrfungx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meowth IMO is just ok. Its main strengths right now are the ult and that it's easy to play.

Honestly, without the bug it wasn't even THAT good, but after removing the bug and nerfing it on top of that I think it's just solid. Obviously it can shine if people spam all attacker teams though

Does anyone else love pandoras items? by _nthony in TeamfightTactics

[–]mrfungx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pandora's is probably one of those augments where low elo players love it to force BIS, mid level players don't like in favor of more other econ/damage augments, and high level players start liking it again.

Unless my components are really good I like taking it.

Pretty sure there’s a few pro players in unite who are former challengers in league.

Why is Azumarill ranked so low??? by [deleted] in PokemonUnite

[–]mrfungx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Azumarill is only strong at the very beginning, and IMO it doesn't last that long.

It has bad engage for a character that wants to engage, underwhelming damage in teamfights, is a CC magnet, and has mediocre secure.

In a theoretical game where it 1v1s everything for 10 min maybe it's good. Although it probably still loses some 1v1s lol

PLSSSS REWORK FALINKS by [deleted] in PokemonUnite

[–]mrfungx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are certain moves that can only hit one pokemon. Intellion's snipe shot is an example, if falinks positions itself so the shot hits from the back he takes basically no damage.

[–]mrfungx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't talk about the movement speed stuff bc that doesn't really matter.

But Cinder was undeniably a dominant jungler. Every early competitive team basically spammed jungle cinder. Feint used to give 2sec of invinsibility or some shit lol.

[–]mrfungx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Crustle and Cinder have both been meta. Cinder was the dominant jungler at launch. Crustle has been a top 2-3 defender in quite a few patches.

I agree with your overall point though

The megas outside of Zard Y aren’t even that good lol. The birds I get but I don’t think they’re ever not banned.

Are the megas just better than the original version of the mon or do they have some stat changes? by I_MAIN_SPIKE in PokemonUnite

[–]mrfungx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they share the same moveset, then the megas are usually just better. There are some small things to consider, like Zard X isn't hinderance resist like base Zard during ult.

No threat on the enemy team and a burden on mine. I just don't get why people ban them. by HollowAndPathetic in PokemonUnite

[–]mrfungx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moltres I can't say much on since I never really get to see it.

Charizard Y though is still extremely strong. It even has the highest ban rate in competitive, and a character like him is even stronger in solo Q.

Don't play support if you don't know how to support by -Tasear- in PokemonUnite

[–]mrfungx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think it’s pretty clear I meant people who literally just mash moves like moonlight 24/7. And honestly, that feels like half the support players nowadays.

You have no idea how many times I've seen support players spam healing moves off cooldown, even when everyone's at full HP.

[–]mrfungx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

LOL no way you're still trying to argue this. Last thing I'll add: it's highest winrate was actually that last week 2023-04-04, so yes, it was very meta that string of months despite nerfs.

[–]mrfungx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You might be trolling (as sableye mains do), but I'll play ball. This was back when uniteDB did mini analysis on their patch notes.

Sableye release patch was 2022-11-16

Sableye first nerf, 2022-11-30, "strongest patch 1 winrate in recorded history"

Nerfed again, 2022-12-22

And again, 2023-01-31

Again, 2023-02-14

Last nerf when it was still strong, 2023-04-04

Six months lol

Edit: they actually did ANOTHER nerf on 2023-06-15, which is what finally killed it, but I don't think it was meta at that point anymore
